Leaking Radiator Valve on Designer Vertical Radiator – Repair Required
Leaking Radiator Valve Connection – Repair Required (Glasgow)
Looking for a plumber/heating engineer to repair a leak from the bottom valve connection on a vertical designer radiator.
The radiator is approximately 9 years old, was a high-quality model costing around £450 when installed, and is otherwise in excellent condition. I am looking to repair the leaking valve/connection rather than replace the radiator.
There is a small leak/weep from the valve area with some rust staining around the connection. Photos attached, including close-ups of the valve and the full radiator.
Likely work required:
- Diagnose source of leak
- Replace radiator valve if necessary
- Replace radiator tail/seals if necessary
- Refill and bleed heating system
The radiator is easily accessible and located in a domestic property in Glasgow.
Please provide:
- Estimated cost including parts and labour
- Earliest availability
- Confirmation that you can repair the valve/connection without replacing the radiator (unless inspection shows otherwise)
