Structural Calculations for structrual work
I’m looking for a structural engineer to provide calculations for building control for sign off for a knock through kitchen/dinner with 2 steal beams, and the full removal of the chimney. The kitchen and dining rooms have been knocked in to one and a bifold door installed (370cm). The chimney from top to bottom has been removed, the chimney was not on a neighbouring wall. Wall removal structural calcs
Hello, im a builder with a lot of experience and this current project would be done on my own house. I have drawn a proposed plan for the steels from what knowledge I've gathered over the years. This doesn't work when it comes to structural calcs but id like to keep the cost down. There is no load bearing walls above this wall to be removed either just the floor joists that are 150mm x 50mm they run the length of the house front to back. The current wall in place is a single skin brick wall with lime mortar so whatever it gets decided to be replaced with would be much stronger. Structural inspection of cracks
Looking for a chartered structural engineer to inspect cracks that have developed in a 1903s house following previous RSJ installation. We require an independent site inspection and written opinion on whether the cracks indicate ongoing structural movement or are cosmetic. We are not looking for repair quotes at this stage
