Gary has done a fantastic job in repainting the front of the house. He was here by 0800 and never stops until tea time, all sills scraped, cracks filled, power washed and repainted in 21/2 days. You need any painting you won't go wrong getting in touch with Gary. it all started off great and Brian came across very nice and full of knowledge. However his work was very slow and was charging me day rate, even though i asked for a quote. As he said it was an estimate the price would just keep going up. After 6 days day of working on my porch, one day longer then "estimated" he had still not finished the work. He also hadn't ordered my windows which i paid him for 2 weeks before he started work. I did talk to him about the cost of the work and how i didn't have any more money to keep paying him. I don't believe he listen to what i was saying,as 5 mins later his telling me it will be a days labour to fit to windows when he gets them. I did also email him twice which he was not happy about and also did not answer them. The work he has done is so shocking to the point we are now having to take it down and rebuild it ourselves. Couldn't fault MDC construction at all. Great workmanship, always arrived when stated, communicated and asked questions throughout the job and discussed ways of completing the job to my satisfaction. At the end of the working day the area was cleaned to a high standard. The final price was actually cheaper than quoted so honesty is also a quality they have. I can’t review the quality of his work as he never turned up. After doing a quick survey and sending a quote, we locked in 22nd May to start the job. Jay then moved this to June 2nd, which I was happy to accommodate and I even booked some annual leave so I could be there. After messaging him on the day to see when he was going to turn up, he said he couldn’t make it and said he’ll turn up 8:30am on June 4th. I messaged again on June 4th, but yet again, he said he couldn’t make it and said it’s looking like June 9th. This ultimately ended in Jay asking me to find someone else to do the job. We have been platerering since leaving school roughly 30 years, during this time we have moved on to other trades which in short covers all aspects of the building trade. We have covered many jobs of our own but mostly working for other company's running the job as our own but without earning the better money.. So now would like to run and work our own jobs as I believe having good relations with the clients as a boss and a worker will give us that professional and personal touch
