What a great team of lads, Kev and the boys have just finished our extension ready for the kitchen fitters to take over. If you are looking for a good reliable set of lads look no further, every one of the trades have done Kev proud from the first day knocking down and putting in the footings to the last day finishing the floor.The Lads have been really good at keeping the mess to a minimum and cleaned up every day,they left the site clean and clear of rubbish at the end of the job.There were a few hiccups along the way (but it was expected with the house being over 125 years old) I was made up by the way the Lads overcame them.When we hit an unforeseen problem Kev went the extra mile to help me out. Every thing was explained up front no nasty surprises even when the unexpected happened Kev cost were more than reasonable! Even with the extra work Kev's finished bill was still less than the other quotes we received. It was a pleasure doing business with Kev and the boys and I would have no problem giving them a 5***** rating. Well Done to Kev and the Lads. Jimmy and Cathy Owens
I bought a house in a bad state of repair and needed to have alterations carried out to include a downstairs bedroom , en-suite shower room and an extension for an open plan kitchen / livingroom. The search for a builder to complete this work was daunting to say the least, however from my first meeting with Gordon @ Gage Construction I knew I’d be in safe hands. He is professional, conscientious and accommodating and with his years of experience has plenty of advice and ideas to share. His team are polite, hard working with a definite “can do” attitude to their work. Latest review:Extensions-We hired Phil and his team after receiving a few different quotes. We were swayed by the qualifications and previous jobs/reviews about Activate Construction. We are so impressed with the work that Phil and his team undertook for us-a first storey extension above an existing ground floor extension. Our original plans had been drawn up, however Phil’s expertise in the area led him to suggest another configuration which enabled us to add an extra bedroom as well as relocating our bathroom upstairs. We did hit a few snags and issues, however, all these were dealt with and sorted by Phil and his team quickly and efficiently. All the workers involved were professional, polite, hard working and very knowledgeable. We also asked Phil to create a decking area in our garden after our extension had been finished. We would highly recommend Phil and Activate Construction for any building work and would use them again in the future!

The team worked hard to make sure there was minimal disruption to the lives of my elderly parents during the build and showed flexibility in additional out of scope carpentry and steelworks. We are completely delighted with the overall vaulted ceiling ensuite room extensions.
