UPDATE: The reply is fabricated and no money has been returned. I am taking him to court and have reported them to MyBuilder who is now investigating him. Avoid NTB Construction at all costs! I paid a deposit of £300 to have works done on my property between 11th-13th February. Nigel confirmed my booking and three days later he decided he couldn't do those dates and would be returning my deposit. He told me the reason was because he talked to his lads and they thought I was going to be “looking over” them when carrying out works and they wanted me to leave the property when they do the works and come back once its done! He decided to also book someone else in on my date! As he cancelled the job, he told me would return my deposit but has now stopped responding and hasn’t given my deposit back! I am now going through small claims court and have also notified MyBuilder and they are going to carrying out an investigation and I have submitted the relevant evidence.Latest review:Damp Proofing-

Very polite and professional. Arrive and left on time which for a full day of work can be difficult to access. Very happy with the end result of the damp wall and remainder works they have done. Minimal sanding is needed which is fantastic. They protected all the wood flooring and any furniture we couldn't move around and they cleaned everything afterwards. Superb, 3 lads turned up to start the job earlier than expected and got straight to it, all worked well as a team and were tidy throughout leaving the site better than before. As the job was only finished last week it's not possible to comment yet if the damp problem has been solved yet. However, following an intial home visit I received a comprehensive estimate.
