This was after 2 other traders expressed doubts about the job being too hard. He was open and was clear about the warranty and the process of replacing the door, he also fixed an issue that came up at the last minute. Theo also put us onto a contact who can help to resolve another problem. Everything was done well for a very reasonable price. He came out to assess the staircase and advised that he would be able to provide a more accurate quote if he could see the area better as there was a plasterboard wall in the way. Tony allowed us to do as much of the work as we wanted and were able to do and therefore brought down the price in relation to this. Tony did not mind providing 3 different quotes - full oak, oak and pine spindles and full pine, to enable us to make a well informed decision that suited our budget. Alterations in design were accommodated to our preferences which is really refreshing compared to other tradespeople we have encountered who have been a little rigid with their approach and do not often offer alternatives to help add that personal touch to our home. Tony arrived promptly, completed the work to a impeccable standard and also offered valuable advice on the aftercare of the oak. He even tidied up after himself - I swear he left it tidier than when he arrived! We are over the moon with our beautiful staircase that now has tinsel and lights twinkling between the spindles - a perfect centrepiece to our home.
