I invited Monaghans to quote for some roof repairs. They arrived early for their appointment. Their assessment of the work needed was considerably less than other roofers. Their quote was very competitive and they offered to do the job the following day. Their work was first rate and they completed the job in half a day which meant I no longer have a hole in my roof. I recommend Carl & Michael for any roofing work. Top blokes the pair of them.

James responded very quickly to my job posting, he came the day after, assessed the work and then came back within two days to successfully repair and make good the leak in the roof. He also found other work that needed doing (slates missing, sealing etc) and completed these satisfactorily. He did a wonderful job and I was very relieved and happy that my roof was safe again. He is an excellent, skilled worker and I would thoroughly recommend him for roofing work (I believe he also does other building work and I have no doubt he is excellent at this too). He is a very good person who does a good job. Thank you

Isaac did several jobs, a reslate of the extension, house Krender and a new front canopy. Along the way, he uncovered elements of concern effecting the integrity of the house. I was kept updated and Isaac offered efficient solutions, making sure of reasonable pricing throughout. Issac has a team of workers, all of which were pleasant to liaise with, keeping the working site in order, as the jobs progressed. So pleased now, after all the work, to have confidence in how the house has been upgraded and has a bright fresh appearance.

I had Platinum Roofing carry out work on my garage roof in early 2026. They were the cheapest quote and I needed the job done quickly, so I went ahead. The roof was completed, but the quality of the work was not great. Within about a week, part of the area they had worked on started leaking, which clearly pointed to poor workmanship. As they had provided a written warranty and the work was very recent, I contacted them to come back and fix it. They initially agreed, but then repeatedly failed to show up—cancelling or not turning up at least five times. On a couple of occasions I waited in specifically for them, only for no one to arrive. This went on for a number of months while my roof continued to leak. Eventually, they stopped responding to my calls and messages altogether. In the end, I had no choice but to pay another roofer to fix the issue properly. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend them.

Luke has been the best tradesperson i have dealt with. His team have been very efficient in all their work and i have already started discussions for other jobs in the following year. The vision of what we were looking for and his execution of the plan has been excellent. There were times when problems came up during the job and he was able to come up with solutions which were better than originally planned. The job took longer than expected, but with all the issues with Covid affecting deliveries and stock availability, this was to be expected. The quality of the finish is excellent, and as i have said, we are already in discussions for other jobs. If you are lucky to be able to hire his team, you won't be disappointed.

This was a job I arranged for my elderly parents and the lads did an excellent job, however they had to come back to finish a little bit of the guttering but since my parents paid them in full they have not come back to finish it. I have tried contacting them a few times but no response. It's a shame as they were pleasant lads and did a good job but let us down by not finishing the job. Maybe they would have if my parents hadn't paid them in full. Lesson learned.

Robert worked hard every day. He always turned up on time, and always cleaned up any mess leaving the house tidy every evening. I have had a number of painters over the past few years, but felt they never did a good job. Robert prepared the wood properly, and sanded down fully and his painting is very neat. We are very pleased with the job he has done.
