The quotes ranged between £960 and £3,500 and I accepted JTA's quote of £1080 which included vat. I ordered the slabs myself - 28 slabs, 640 x 450mm each. John, Tom and Alex spent two half-days doing a really good job for me, they had a lot of digging out to do. Some of the slabs were broken so they had to come back a week later to fit them them and finish off - which they did, no issues.

I would highly recommend them. They completed the work in 2 days - building a brick retaining wall and new container bed and laying porcelain patio. Adrian was really helpful and adjusted the work as it went along so that I got exactly what I wanted.

Walls in a variety of styles and of various composition; terrace and step work. Each project is treated as my very own. Hard-working, efficient, and conscientious; my projects are organised and completed properly. Good communication skills derived from an earlier commercial career.
Get in touchI took Mark on to prepare and lay a natural stone patio for me, build a small wall and a step. Mark was fantastic from start to finish. Really helpful in the planning stages, helping to figure out how to overcome a few challenges with uneven levels, a replacement drain cover and advice on materials. Such a breath of fresh air after having a few experiences with other tradesmen where levels of communication have been poor or non-existent! He is a very helpful, trustworthy and friendly guy and I found his pricing to be very fair, especially considering his attention to detail and quality of his work. He works really hard (even when it was 30+ degrees and tough going!). He set expectations well and kept me informed as to how the job was going, which was important as we had agreed the work at a day rate. We now are left with a lovely new level, raised patio in place of the old ugly uneven slab of concrete, which is the first stage of revamping our garden. I would hire him again without a hesitation - in fact I really hope to very soon to help with the rest of it!Latest review:Landscaping-
