Fabulous job by John, Martin and their team at First Choice. Turned our weed and moss filled garden into a welcoming space to entertain and for our grandchildren to play. They helped in the planning and guided us through the whole process. They were a pleasure to deal with. We were so pleased with what they did to our back garden that we decided to do our front and replace the drive. While Oscar himself was pleasant and good to deal with, we had issues with the workers who came to do the job which means we wouldn't use Mehan Landscapes services again. First thing was I came out to see the finished job to find one of the workers urinating up the side of our new summer house. Checking our CCTV, this was something more than one individual did on both days they were here. Not acceptable behaviour, never mind with kids at home. Secondly they didn't deliver the slabbed pathway as agreed, it was elevated rather than laid at grass level, presumably as it was easier that way, giving us more of a ramp than a pathway. Then we later discovered that the guys had put back many of the (unusable) slab offcuts with the remaining good slabs to save disposal. We also found an number of cigarette ends over the garden, but some of them hidden under rubble or in other hideaways. Very happy with the work carried out by Gary. Front and back of my property have been completely transformed with great fences and a fabulous composite decking area at the rear. Looking forward to next summer to put them to good use. Made new doors for bin sheds too. Gary was helpful, knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process. He is also going to make me some planters from the leftover decking which I'm sure will look fabulous. He is going to repair a broken door step which I'm sure will look good. Chris initially contacted me after I posted my job on MyBuilder, I had to do this because the original landscaper who is on here let me down in quite a bad way. I was asked by Chris to provide some pictures with indications as to sizes. Based on this he provided me with both an estimate and suggestions for the way the work should be done. While Chris was happy to do what I wanted he also made a suggestion which seemed to me a better idea. Based on his advice I saved over £1000 on the work. But by far one of the most important factors was he did not have to see the job and he did not ask my address. The point here is that he clearly did not price the job based on the property. Big house big bill. I believe the price I was charged for the work was fair and the work carried out was to a high standard. Job was carried out very professionally with all works requiring attention completed. Shaun and his team from A and S landscaping continually kept me updated of how the work would progress despite some adverse weather causing slight delay.
