Evans Construction prides itself on its quality of workmanship, completing projects on time and importantly within budget. Always approachable working hand in hand with clients to ensure the finished project meets their expectations.
I employed Evans Contracts to build a pair of semi detached 3 bed 2 bath houses. Although a tight build they coped well and produced two very high quality finished houses. Bad weather slowed the project a little. Budget a little over but there was additional work done ie landscaping and tiling that was not in the original price. We highly recommend David. The work to replace our garage door, with window and wall, has exceeded our expectations, looks as if it has always been there! The care he took to match the bricks and get the right style window to match the rest of the bungalow was excellent, even to the painiting of the walls to match the original interior. He consulted us every step of the way and advised us the best possible way to acheive the best outcome. Ashley was friendly and gave a competitive quote. We arranged a date for him to complete the works which was unfortunately two days into lockdown. Ashley didn’t let me know he wasn’t coming and when I called asking where he was, was defensive and agitated suggesting I should have known he wouldn’t come. I said a polite message wouldn’t have gone a miss as workers who couldn’t work from home were being encouraged to go to work (my job was outside) He said he would get back in touch after lockdown. We moved into a new (old) house this week and in the process of moving the furniture in the several of the stairs collapsed. This was obviously a bit of a disaster (understatement) as we had no way of getting anything upstairs - everything we owned ended up packed into the living room! We called David at lunchtime, he came and had a look less than an hour later, went off to get the necessary materials and then spend the best part of three hours in a tiny cramped cupboard under our stairs making them safe! He was with us well into the evening! David was amazing! Professional, polite and made sure the stairs were safe - we have small children so that was so important to us - I honestly cannot recommend him highly enough. Philip, Chris and Ollie were a pleasure to have working on our house. They were very efficient and answered all questions with ease and great explanation. I cannot fault their work as even though it was an easy looking extension, it actually had a few issues. Philip’s quote was perfectly broke down and detailed. This was 1 of the deciding factors for us because of the detail in the quote. All 3 were also brilliant with my kiddos and my dog (who kept getting let out). I am very happy with the work that has been done, it has created a beautiful space that makes a huge difference to the house. Evan inspected a prefab home for me prior my purchase of it. He was able to advise on all aspects of the house, giving an overview of potential problems and approximate costs to fix. Evan spotted problems that I hadn't, which is exactly what I was after, for a very good price.
