Wilkins Wood Workers I started this company to make only the finest quality Joinery/Carpentry and furniture of all types for my customers. This is a family run company which I run with my dad who has 15+ years experience in building and a qualified Carpenter. I have 9+ years experience and have level 2 & 3 NVQ in Joinery as well as a Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry. We also have taken on a full-time employee called Jake who has 13 years experience in all types of Joinery and woodworking with a Level 2 & 3 NVQ in Joinery. We have a new large machinery workshop (with the best quality machines) and a Joinery workshop with an office, which you can book to come in or we can make an appointment to come to you. I have worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and specifically in woodworking for over 17 years. After completing a two year City&Guilds qualification in furniture making and installation I have worked for joinery and building companies covering all aspects of woodworking, both as an employee and on a self-employed basis. I have pretty much done everything from cutting in the roof carcass to fitting the floors and skirting, along with everything in between. I particularly enjoy 2nd fix work as that requires the most detailed work and is satisfying, but I am equally at home doing 1st fix work. I have been fortunate enough to work on some prestige projects, especially when I worked for a local building firm in the role of head carpenter and site supervisor. During that time I was able to train up an apprentice and pass on the knowledge and skills I have gained over the years. I not only take great pride in the work I do but also in providing a friendly, polite and efficient.
