Great piece of work from Costel and his team. Our job needed a solid set of groundworks along with foundations, 1st and 2nd fix. Costel was very attentive, hard working, communicative and stayed in-line with the schedule of works. Very happy to work to a JCT contract and staged payments. Job was the removal of old, and installation of a new back garden gate and fence. Our house is end of terrace with a public path leading behind and down the side of the house, so security is a concern. Great initial discussion, with Niall helping us narrow down the best options and making sure we were happy. Workmanship, professionalism and reliability were all excellent and we're really happy with the final outcome. I have nothing but praise for Michael and his team. The project was managed exceptionally well and Michael kept us apprised of progress, emerging issues (which were dealt with quickly and with some innovative thinking) and he was honest and candid with our choice of kitchen tile (I think his words were do you want to rethink that colour!). Michael quoted in Nov and started work in the Spring (late Mar) and held his price despite a national increase in the price of materials and reduced availability which he managed admirably. Obviously a man with a good eye; his suggestions for additional works were inspired and they have resulted in a high quality finish. Finally, it is worth mentioning the team who did the grafting! Very industrious, skilled, polite and helpful. Highly recommend Wooburn PM to anyone considering building work. :-)Latest review:Extensions-KCD Building Services

A small 10m extension with an estimated 4 week build turned into a 3 month nightmare. Charlie Draper eventually left the job unfinished citing a difficult mental state. In total he missed 6 agreed deadlines over the 3 months with over 20 missed work days. He did not pay for the Building Inspection application and commenced work illegally that I am now attempting to remedy with RBWM Council. He took almost £4,000 off me for windows and 'extras' that never materialised which I will now be pursuing through court. He pushed and pushed for money in advance throughout the job and has not paid several of his own contractors who I have been in touch with. In all I have lost over £22,000 to 'KCD Building Services' and will be paying thousands more to recitfy the unfinished job. He is the classic cowboy builder. I have been in the building trade for over 40 years, I started out as a bricklayer which is still my main trade but over the years of being a general builder, I have turned my hand to many other trades. Now I’m trying to lighten my work load, and now take on smaller jobs within the domestic home maintenance sector. I have the tools and the experience to carry out most small jobs within the home, and the exterior space around the home, in a quick and timely manner. I charge £40 + vat per hour, and most jobs I do take an average of two hours to complete, so this gives you an idea of how much it would cost to do most small repairs in the home. If the job is bigger and say it takes a couple of days to complete, then you would be provided with a fixed price quote for the work.

Hired CMB builders to do a small single story extension and fitting of our kitchen and dining room in Jan 2021. This included some structural works (taking out rear wall and inserting steel beam) and fitting bifold doors, plumbing etc. Constantin was very quick in providing a quote and explained everything over the phone. We agreed a timescale for the works which was perfect for us. Constantin and his team were punctual, respectful and considerate of both us and our neighbours, carried out the works on time, on budget and keeping us informed every step of the way. He also made regular suggestions and recommendations on the best way of approaching parts of the build. The quality of the work is excellent and we are very happy with our extension. Neil did an excellent job! We needed 5 oak veneer doors hung throughout the house including two bathrooms with the locks. He hung all 5 doors in one morning and then came back with a couple of willing assistants to fit the latches etc. a couple of days later. He cleaned up after the work very well and left the property very clean and no sawdust left.
