I hired Matt after being left in the lurch by an incompetent tradesman. He was quick to come out and quote and I was able to visit one of his jobs to get an idea of the standard of his work. I asked him to put right a few things that were left unfinished, and to rip out and redo a botched bathroom and cloakroom. He was very responsive throughout the project and made several suggestions that resulted in a much better use of space. Did everything he said he would do and offered helpful advice throughout. I have nothing but praise for Michael and his team. The project was managed exceptionally well and Michael kept us apprised of progress, emerging issues (which were dealt with quickly and with some innovative thinking) and he was honest and candid with our choice of kitchen tile (I think his words were do you want to rethink that colour!). Michael quoted in Nov and started work in the Spring (late Mar) and held his price despite a national increase in the price of materials and reduced availability which he managed admirably. Obviously a man with a good eye; his suggestions for additional works were inspired and they have resulted in a high quality finish. Finally, it is worth mentioning the team who did the grafting! We wanted a 6m extension, refurbishing of the property and new bathrooms. Work was completed as expected with no issues, builders were very helpful and always ensured we were updated with the progress and if they stumbled across anything that wasn’t discussed they would let me know of the issue so I can decide what to do. It’s very rare you find builders who actually take your opinion most them just want to do it their way even when you don’t agree but this company was very good and I do recommended them to anyone. They are trustworthy and reliable, they do not take the full payment in advance they just take only a small first payment then as the work progresses payments are made and then last payment made after everything is complete and satisfied.Latest review:JPV Carpentry and Construction

Really pleased with JPV Carpentry and the quality of work that they completed. Jacob was the first to respond to my posted job, offered to come over soon after and arrived promptly (doesn't sound like much, but others weren't so eager....) He offered a fair price and confirmed a start date that he stuck to. The work itself was completed to a really high standard and I couldn't have asked for more. Job was the removal of old, and installation of a new back garden gate and fence. Our house is end of terrace with a public path leading behind and down the side of the house, so security is a concern. Great initial discussion, with Niall helping us narrow down the best options and making sure we were happy. Workmanship, professionalism and reliability were all excellent and we're really happy with the final outcome. Hired CMB builders to do a small single story extension and fitting of our kitchen and dining room in Jan 2021. This included some structural works (taking out rear wall and inserting steel beam) and fitting bifold doors, plumbing etc. Constantin was very quick in providing a quote and explained everything over the phone. We agreed a timescale for the works which was perfect for us. Constantin and his team were punctual, respectful and considerate of both us and our neighbours, carried out the works on time, on budget and keeping us informed every step of the way. He also made regular suggestions and recommendations on the best way of approaching parts of the build. The quality of the work is excellent and we are very happy with our extension.
