I have been a qualified Architect for over 17 years where I have predominantly worked within a local medium sized practice. My duties included running my own projects in a multitude of sectors including residential, commercial and industrial. I have recently decided to evoke a change in my working life and set up as a sole trader. This change has allowed me to pursue my own design ethos and principles. The services available predominantly cover residential and range from small extensions to bespoke dwellings and larger house builds. Commercial and industrial buildings are also considered. In turn, the services available vary from an initial free consultation to measured building surveys, sketch schemes, design drawings, planning applications and detailed drawings and specification compilation. All to suit the clients requirements. I aim to provide a friendly and prompt service that utilises my previous experiences and reflects my professional attitude. We have a track record of delivering exciting and innovative buildings that minimise the impact on natural resources. We place a great importance on listening to our clients needs and delivering projects, which fulfil aspirations whilst minimising the impact on the environment. While many architects remain working in 2D, we believe in working in 3D from the start of projects. Therefore all of our projects are modelled in our state-of-the-art computer aided design (CAD) software. For existing buildings, we often start the project by measuring and modelling the existing building in 3D. This enables us and clients to better understand the existing building form. From this, we can propose more coherent and practical solutions from the start than if we were working solely in 2D. For new buildings, we often start a project using a topographical survey that has been measured by an external topographical surveying company. We can use this information to better understand land form so that your building can be more carefully positioned on the site. Working in 3D from an early stage also makes the later and more technically complex stages more efficient, with changes easier to accommodate / advise on and collaboration more seamless with other project consultants.
