I've just reread the last review I wrote, which was 1*; while everyone else gave them 5. What's going on we wonder? I happen to work in construction as an assessor, so I do know what to look for. I've given Sam 5, although he was not perfect. He's probably earned it more than other 5s from people who are easily pleased. I enjoyed our discussion on historical issues; which to be honest swayed me a bit. What we are primarily concerned with in construction is the product more than the process. And although his communication left room for improvement, he is a conscientious worker who knows his business and charges a fair price. He is affable and likeable, as well as being effective. Richard provided me with a reasonable quote free of charge. The quote was also very descriptive, outlining in detail the work that's needed to be done( i.e. some repointing of the ridge tiles and some flaunching to the top of the chimney).
