Overcharged for building foundation and walls. Regretfully, I would hesitate to recommend. Made to feel he was doing me a favour whilst dragging the work out. Left rubbish everywhere had to clean after him especially after my neighbour complained. Have text from neighbour to prove this. Have photos to back this up. Found alien block and rubbish materials in my foundation, now looking through his other jobs I believe he dumped rubbish materials from a particular job to my foundation!! Charles knows what needs to be done but is distracted and lacking in long term concentration. He is best with small jobs like building small boundary walls or patios but not house extension projects like I had. I feel sad he had a young lad learning bad trade practices from him-a generation ruined! Possibly got carpenter to inflate cost of domer-also held up cos Charles still hadn’t finished the gable wall. Delay cost me waiting roofer and others. Beware he’s a good talker and can talk his way around!

Guys turned up promptly both to initially look at the job and to come and do it. Levelling compound was laid as agreed in a timely manner and the site was left clean and tidy on completion. It was a complex job requiring the removal of an earth bank, ground works to include reinforcements to an independent engineer's specification, and re-erection of a boundary wall in a locally listed area against a busy road. We had some problems during the works but all were resolved to mutual satisfaction and with good humor.
