ARH Builders is based in Clacton-On-Sea and undertake work in and around the Essex and Suffolk area. We carry out a varied catalogue of works including renovations, extensions and loft conversions, to name a few.
Get in touchAdam came around to give a quote seemed very professional and attentive. We paid a deposit to hold a date but was pushed back as was waiting for monies from a solicitor. They started the project in July 22 stating it would take 3 Months give or take for a wrap around extension, dormas, and a drive way however come December 22 still no where completed only wrap around extension started not evens dormas or driveway done. When asking what is going on just kept coming up with excuses and They kept asking for more money in the end got another builder to finish the project off none of their work was done properly as had other tradesman in to quote to finish it off and not one of them had a good word to say. All shoddy and they have got such a bad reputation around the local area with other tradesman. Just people beware of this company as they are rip off merchants and all they are interested in is getting your money then coming up with excuses why they want more. Their slogan is “not much we can’t do” well let me tell you something is should be “there is not a lot we can do” they have caused us nothing but heartache. I wholeheartedly regret using them. Get in touchDid some good work but let us down when not accepting responsibility for his failure to commission a bore hole filtration installation that did not give us clear water for 6 months. We only found out when I employed and paid Anglian water to come out to check the system and they reported that it had never worked since installation as he did not open the air valve and so there was no chance that the iron could be put into suspension so the next cylinder could filter it properly. They opened the valve and the water is 70 cleaner - I suggest to Ben he paid £115 for the Anglian visit and install one 5 micron filter at his cost so we get the clear water he promised before being awarded the contract. I have not heard from him after this reasonable compensation request for 6 months yellow water that children will not bath in, guests are concerned with and will not drink. Planning permission was granted. Very professional and knowlegeable friendly man.
