Struan fitted a side door for me, including frame and replaced a damaged lintel. The door is good quality though had some fitment issues initially, however he did persevere with it and the end result is good. Overall happy with the the service at a fair price.

What a find! We will be ever grateful to Rick at Ideal Homes who did an excellent job in removing an old RSJ and beam and replacing it with a replacement beam to perfectly match our existing woodwork in the room. You would not know it was not the original. Great communication. I always knew the days work would take place and start time or if the guys were running late. Rick provided a friendly and efficient team who provided a meticulous service and actually cleaned up after themselves which we had not experienced before with other builders. We can thoroughly recommend and will have more projects hopefully in the future. Thank you!

I had a good initial contact and they came out to do a first look pretty quickly. Wanted quoting on an extension, porch, driveway and side wall. In the end none of these jobs happened. A good experience to begin with. Porch - needed an architect (recommended by the builder), which took a couple of weeks to come and look then a few more weeks to get the drawings back to me. In the end, was too complex/costly due to the roofline. Fair enough - but took way too long to get to that answer. Extension - Initial 'rough' quote was very reasonable, but getting them to actually do a costed up quote took many weeks. In the end, the quote was >50% higher than the rough quote (scope of work hadn't changed). Driveway - Visited 4 times for this job. On 2 occasions, just didn't show up and couldn't get hold of them by phone. All of a sudden they came back 'online' and after 2 more visits, a quote came which was more than x2 the original rough quote. I appreciate cost of materials has increased but double was just too much. Side wall - Based on the other jobs being so difficult to progress, we decided to get someone else to sort it => 2 weeks after enquiry, the wall was built. In the end, we lost months for nothing and decided to not bother with 3/4 jobs. It's a shame, because they seem like a good bunch of lads and their references/pictures look great, but clearly have either too much work or need to hire someone to manage their time better.
