Hired CMB builders to do a small single story extension and fitting of our kitchen and dining room in Jan 2021. This included some structural works (taking out rear wall and inserting steel beam) and fitting bifold doors, plumbing etc. Constantin was very quick in providing a quote and explained everything over the phone. We agreed a timescale for the works which was perfect for us. Constantin and his team were punctual, respectful and considerate of both us and our neighbours, carried out the works on time, on budget and keeping us informed every step of the way. He also made regular suggestions and recommendations on the best way of approaching parts of the build. The quality of the work is excellent and we are very happy with our extension. We will happily use CMB again for further works on our house and would recommend to anyone - they are fantastic.

An excellent job done by Edward, he rennervated my patio to a very high standard, removing the old mortar and repointing all joints, relaying a few slabs along the way, all 37 square meters look great. He works very hard and takes great pride in the quality of his work. I highly recommend him to anyone requiring patio or brick work. Would not hesitate to use again.

Jagdeep and his team have been great. He is very polite and throughout the whole project we got along very well. He has done a great job for the complete project. I have asked him to come back to more and more work. It started off with a 16m2 bungalow, then 60m2 driveway then another 60m2 porcelain patio with stainless handrails. He has built the bungalow extension with complex steels. His brick work is fantastic, all the other brickys have said the work looks very good. He is was good keeping to our agreed price, and when I have asked him to do extra work his pricing has been very honest. If I ever have another project like this again, I would choose Jagdeep again.

We are in the last week or so of the extensive remodelling of the kitchen, utility room beyond plus bedroom upstairs. Mark Lomas and his team have been truly amazing, not just in exercising real building skills to blend the extension harmoniously with the existing Edwardian home but also in some imaginative problem solving as well. Costs have been spot on budget, save where I have caused additional work and fitting out, other than some unusual costs arising from some specialist joinery work which enabled the timber windows and doors to be exact replicas for others built 120 years ago. Honestly, I could not speak higher of the care and attention we have been given. I could get cross about the driving rain and the gruesome frosts and miserable cold, but that's a British Winter for you; Mark and his team certainly did not grizzle, and have stayed professional throughout. Circa £100k budget, so a reasonably size job and quite a risk for the builder - for my next project, I shall certainly use again in a heartbeat.

Spoke with Contempo and they stated they would be able to attend to do the job that evening as they would be in the area, they arrived at the time stated and carried out the works there and then as required and expected. Provided a demonstration of the fan working and also installed the cupboard door to the face of the extractor unit. Cleared up and charged the amount that was agreed. Great, reliable and professional service.

I charge £40 + vat per hour, and most jobs I do take an average of two hours to complete, so this gives you an idea of how much it would cost to do most small repairs in the home. If the job is bigger and say it takes a couple of days to complete, then you would be provided with a fixed price quote for the work.
