Simon responded quickly and visited us on the same day (after we spoke on the phone) to provide a very reasonable quote and a good timeline for start and completion. Unlike a lot of tradesmen, Simon was upfront, professional but warm and explained everything in lay persons terms. We booked in the job but when our baby was unwell that day, Simon offered flexibility and understanding. When Simon later came to start and complete the work, he was sensitive to our situation (we still had an unwell baby) and he was also very accommodating of our lively dog! We had accidentally not bought all the parts, but Simon resolved the issue and completed the work to a very high standard. Although Simon could have squeezed more work out of us (because we have no idea what we’re talking about) he was extremely honest and explained what does/what does not need doing now/in future/in certain situations. I would 100% recommend SMG Electricial. It’s so hard to find a good quality electrician!! We’re looking forward to having Simon back to help with a few other jobs!

DO NOT USE. Work was for a basic refurbishment of our flat including new kitchen and bathroom. Originally quoted for 8 weeks. After 15 weeks we kicked Dan off the project as it was not finished and the quality of work was poor. Really disappointed with the result and will need to repaint pretty much the whole flat as he touched up with satin wood paint on the walls and ceilings! Still cleaning up the paint on our brand new windows, the new worktop has marks, and the new plasterboard on the ceiling has popped many of he screws. Quality of the work was mediocre at best and not what you would expect from a professional builder. Dan promised high high quality finish which is NOT what we got. The quote was reasonable but Dan kept increasing the costs for no reason and without agreement. He is one of the most disorganised and messy people I have come across. I definitely do not recommend.

Great service - Michal was knowlegeable, friendly and very professional and quickly identified the problem, including a past installation problem (by another tradesman) with the circuit breaker which was not installed correctly, possibly causing the fault. A new CB was installed and the electrical system tested, fixing the problem. Michal is a skilled professional electrician and is highly recommended and I would certainly use his services in the future.
