Shane has done a great job of laying our new patio. He removed the old one, then laid the new one ensuring an even fall over the whole area on various directions to ensure runoff to the drainage areas. We have had several heavy rains since with no puddling. Shane built a concrete slab for our hot tub again perfectly level no puddling from the rain. Also inserted a drain for hot tub emptying. The patio has two separate areas, which he bordered with black blocks, which has helped to set it off nicely. I used John to replace my kitchen roof and fill it with insulation. John is a friendly person, easy to get on with, offered a very competitive quote and got on with the job very quickly. He actually gets involved with his work and talks it through with the customer; he suggested a better solution than the one I originally asked for. Steve did extensive, intricate groundwork for us over a period on and off of about a year. His eye for detail and precision was exceptional. He created the base for two 60m long shed that needed a fall of 200mm over the distance, dug the excavations for an underground AD tank and also created a 1500 cubic meter lagoon for us and all the associated pipe work. I took Steve on at an hourly rate and in the fullness of the scheme the civils bill came in considerably cheaper than fixed price quotes that I had received.
