Rob and his team are by far the best tradesmen I have ever worked with. They listened to my ideas and brought their experience to bear on the project. Their estimates were competitive and accurate and their work ethic was fantastic. They even managed to save me a bit of money with their innovative thinking and product suggestions. I probably wasn't the easiest client to deal with... last minute changes etc... but the team were extremely accommodating and understanding. I highly recommend Groundworks & Civils for any kind of similar work you are thinking of undertaking. The test of a good tradesmen is whether of not you would use them again. I will and I did. Thanks for doing such a fantastic job, Rob! On a personal level, they are a great set of guys too. What more could you want :-)

Not a good experience. A poor unfinished job, that the building inspector has declined and left my house sale in trouble now. The inspector visited the job 4 times and still the head height on the stairs wasn't measured correctly. I had a deadline which is two weeks overdue now. I have a fine to pay the council now for wasting their time and my carpet has been ripped up to allow for the head height to be passed rather than do the job properly. Didn't follow the inspectors advise and promised to put back down which wont happen now and charged £460 for the pleasure. Seeking somebody urgently now who can do the job properly now and knows how to measure correctly.

As a result of choosing Jason Ward we no longer have a conservatory we have an exciting new room. At our first meeting Jason assessed the job in a way that suggested he was focused, very experienced, fair and professional. In reality he proved to be all that and much more. He explained his plan, committed to it, and produced high quality work in a timely and skillful manner. The polycarbonate roof was removed and replaced in a defined process that gave us a roof with lightweight tiles, two new velux windows and new guttering. Internally he strengthened the external walls by installing a tiebar rod across the ceiling. He added insulation, and wiring for 15 ceiling lights, precisely fitted plaster-boarding to the pitched ceiling and exposed brickwork around the room. He plastered all of this to a high standard finish. He installed new skirting board and recessed lights in the ceiling. For us this was a significant change one that we had put off several times. Through his skills and hard work we have a fantastic new room which so far has super temperature control. Of course as the seasons alter we will monitor the results. Jason has guaranteed his work for two years so any problems will occur before that time is up. All of this at a price that was affordable and fair and he solved a range of problems that he found and just sorted. JW Joinery are well recommended.

Fantastic. When you can't get a good recommendation for a builder so you take a chance on my builder reviews. How lucky we were to get Paul and the lads. Really nice guys, trustworthy, hardworking, tidy and a great job. Took down three walls installed steel beams and a full garage conversion. New Windows and all finished with a very nice, almost full house plaster. All done to and passed, building regs. Paul is very knowledgeable and approachable. I was carrying out a little DIY and no problem answering my questions even though it was work he could have been paid for. The best bit is this. We asked him to fit our kitchen. Which he did to the kitchen company plan. The plan was wrong and we got the kitchen people back who said Paul had done a nice job of the fitting but admitted their mistake. By this time we had paid Paul in full for the work done. We called him and he came back the next week to do the alterations. You hear of so many who abandon you after being paid. Cannot recommend him enough. He is now waiting to come and fit our doors. All done for a very competitive price and on time and on budget. CALL HIM you won't regret it.

Slightly delayed start due to bad weather resulting in rescheduling, but good quality work done that resolved some issues with my new kitchen's design. Managed to sort out an issue with the mechanism for the doors and helped source an additional cornice as the ones I had from the designer weren't large enough. New kitchen fits just fine. Good job!
