Rob replied promptly to our request. He visited the house and explained in detail the work which would be needed, as well as giving useful advice on other gas related matters. We were happy with his estimate of the cost (including supply of a suitable gas fire). Due to unrelated issues regarding the gas supply to the house, he will not be able to go ahead until these are resolved but is keeping in touch. He seems reliable and competent and we would unhestatingly recommend him.

Hi, I love my job, from carving beautiful limestone fireplaces, to fitting cast iron/ timber fireplaces, or marble and granite, 35 years experience , fireplaces carved and fitted all over the world, loads of photos, samples to view . I can make granite hearths or marble, limestone or sandstone, sizes to order. I fit customers own fireplaces, purchased from the internet or eBay. I can’t do gas or electrics, but I know people who can. I also don’t fit wood burning stoves or sweep chimneys! I will travel anywhere

Dan did a superb job on stripping out a poorly fitted fire place and restoring the chimney breast to how it should be. He is a very hard worker and completed the job within a couple of days of my putting it up on My Builder!! He clearly takes pride in his work and checked in several times afterwards to check how the mortar was drying etc. He also helped and was flexible where there were more issues with the chimney breast than expected and got the job completed on time and to a brilliant standard. I would recommend Dan to anyone and would certainly use him again. Thanks Dan for a job well done!

I advertised for a wall to be built in my lounge to host a mock fireplace with rustic wooden beams. Lee was quick in his response and came to view the area. He offered advice while discussing, which gave me faith in his expertise. We agreed a date and on the day he arrived on time. He worked continuously over a few days until the job was finished. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the job took a little longer than anticipated but Lee did not charge extra for his time. He was professional, friendly and valued his reputation.
