I am currently a young professional undertaking my Part 2 Architectural studies as a L7 Architecture Apprenticeship. I am now entering my 4th year of working for an Architecture practice and have worked on a series of residential jobs, inducing design, planning and construction drawings. I have also taken jobs to completion on site, whether this be working closely with clients as a main point of contact or on a ad hoc basis. This has added to my previous 6 years experience working with an award-winning Landscape Architect, which is still an ongoing relationship.

Rating: 4.4 out of 5 4.456 reviewsGet in touchMr P was by and large effective at delivering what he says he can offer. He measured accurately, produced draft drawings promptly. He edited modifications as variations emerged during discussions with builders and Building Control. Plans were passed, with advice from Mr P on what MUST be done if there are significant variations later. Plus, advice on what does not need to be referred back for approval if there are detail variations rather than building variations as the project moved on to initial quotes then cost estimates from builders. So far, so good. Very satisfied. My chosen builder had received very specific written instructions from me and I asked Mr P to reflect these instructions in the final, working-on-site, drawings. This was not done, in spite of reminders. At the time it did not seem important, since I had drawn on and made notes on the Version 3 plans. BUT, when the builder did a dreadful job and did not follow written instructions I needed those Final Drawings in order to provide Court evidence. Mr P was evasive and ultimately unhelpful in providing them. He had plausible reasons, citing the fact he had changed jobs and thus not renewed his licence to use the software. But I also discovered he had been talking to the builder and can only conclude that once court action began Mr P regarded his standing with the builder as more important than his contract with me. So, sadly, I have to feedback ultimately a negative recommendation on using Mr P.Latest review:Architecture- - Lacq StudioArchitectural Designer in Stamford

Get in touchWe have been working with Gary from late 2022 to design a new ‘oak framed’ extension to our house. We initially gave Gary a brief of what we had been thinking about, but we also asked him to be creative and open our minds to new ideas. The concept designs he produced were fantastic, they shaped our thoughts, opened our views about what we wanted, but also narrowed down some of the big decisions we needed to make to come to an agreed concept. Gary also managed the whole planning approvals process as he finalised the detailed drawings and plans. He has also helped us select a skilled builder who is now undertaking the work. We are very grateful to Gary for his experience and skills as an architect, and we also very much appreciate that he listened and advised us on the key areas that matter. I have no hesitation at all in providing very positive feedback, we are delighted with the work Gary did for us and will be delighted with the outcome.Latest review:Architecture- - JK ArchitectureArchitectural Designer in Stamford

Get in touchContracted architect 2/2019. Discussed building top of garage; access from garage to flat no1 (above the garage) & another flat (no2) into loft space of main house. Seeing stairwell (access the flat - no2 main house) inside flat (no1) above, means flat (no1) small! But there is loft, height of main building enough for loft conversion as bedroom in flat no1. That agreed. Architect supplied plans for flat (no1) above garage for Planning Application. There after, once approved, because everything else is inside, alterations can be done easily, architect said. Loft conversion flat (no1) did not show in the plans for Planning Application; not required. Planning Application approved 5/2019. 2/2019, contracted FP Group, Luton to quote on specifications & signed contract for building flat (no1) in June/July once Planning was approved. **** Contacted architect AGAIN 6/2019 - for next phase drawings - (flat no2). Discovered when " said he did not have design for staircase to access loft in main house" into flat no2 & said to me "why I did not use his contractor". Architect also said why "you did not contacted me before you started building." I was horrified. Architect asked contact of builder. After architect & builder spoke, builder came back denied he gave me a quote which included above garage loft conversion (flat no1) etc. This was itemised as the first line of builders quote & contract! NEVER again ! One man show.Latest review:Architecture-
