Simon was not punctual; he started his work at 2 pm (supposed to start at 10 am). He was waiting to buy all the materials on the day of work and could not manage to buy as Howden was closed on Easter Saturday (according to Simon, he was informed by Howden that it would remain open). I was not happy at all when he told me all these issues in that morning. BUT finally he managed to buy everything from B&Q and started working with his nephew at 2 pm. Simon annoyed our neighbor as he was working after 8 pm. My neighbor came and asked him to stop; Simon was in the middle of something; and stopped after 5 min; eventually my neighbor called the police; Simon went to the police station and handled the situation (and no bother for us). When drilling the wall for the shelf; his nephew went little too far; and the plaster fell off from the other side. Next day Simon came and did plastering on the wall. Now you will be wondering why, I am still giving Simon a positive review. After all these issues; at the end SIMON managed to finish his job quite nicely. He is extremely polite. He also asked me a decent price for his job. I wish he could be slightly more professional in future.

Very good experience. The guys explained, in advance, what they would do clearly, they did it efficiently with a smile on their faces and the job was well done. Being a DIY guy I often like to stick my nose in and see what's going on. That didn't bother them and they were happy to explain what they were doing. They cleared up well after themselves. A fair price. What more could you ask for?

I also have experience working contractually for Historic Scotland, specifically in the restoration of Duart Castle, Isle of Mull. In particular the restoration of timber casement windows, internal wooden structures as well as furniture and fixtures within the castle. I work on site as well as having a workshop facitlity based in Balerno, where I can manufacture timber components for windows ans doors as well as repair, and restore furniture. I was looking for a roofing compnay that could hopefully do the work I needed without scaffolding. But it was importnat to know that they had the skills to use proper harness and ropes for safety. Gregory visited and we viewed the works on the roof and he explained all that he would do and happy to discuss in detail and follow my wishes on the new facias and extended drip. He was available within a couple of weeks to do the job and I am very happy with the work carried out. With some very cold weather he came back a week later to finish the skews, pointing and haunching work as it would niot be good to carry work in too low temps. He was keen to show the work he and his team had done. Can recommend and was able to pass him to 2 neighbours whilst on site.
