The lovely man came to fit me my used gas oven at my new property completed and tested within an hour and off he went with less then 24 hours notice from booking the job to doing it: fast forward 7 hours I'm cooking a chicken and start smelling something strange I turn the oven off and something stays lit at the back: I called him back he came checked the appliance and had to rip the cooker out and recap the gas and make safe for me and my family. I called him and he came back to check the appliance and recap the gas within 30minutes. Avoid JJ GAS Services – Unsafe and Incompetent Review: I hired JJ GAS Services via My Builders to install a gas boiler, but the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The work was riddled with incompetence, safety risks, and unprofessional behaviour, leaving me with no choice but to hire other tradesmen to rectify their numerous failings. 1. Incomplete and Dangerous Work: JJ GAS Services left critical issues unresolved, including gas and water leaks, low boiler pressure, and disconnected pipes. These issues not only caused significant delays but also posed serious safety risks to my family and neighbours. Despite being paid £3,500 in advance for the 2nd fix, they failed to complete even the first fix properly. This sedonf phase was not carried out when a gas leak was found. I realised safety before money was a priority. 2. Lack of Accountability: JJ frequently denied responsibility for obvious problems, even when presented with photographic and video evidence. Instead of investigating leaks or addressing pressure drops, they shifted blame onto other tradesmen. 3. Missed Appointments and Poor Communication: JJ GAS Services repeatedly missed appointments without explanation. Their communication was dismissive and unreliable, often claiming to be "too busy" to resolve urgent issues. I had to chase them for updates, send formal complaints, and still saw no progress for months. 4. Financial and Property Damage: Their negligence resulted in water damage to my neighbour’s property, additional repair costs, and the need to hire another gas engineer to complete the job. Their incompetence caused delays to other renovation work, including underfloor heating, tiling, and painting. 5. Untrustworthy and Unprofessional: It became clear they had no motivation to complete the job after receiving full payment in advance. Their inability to resolve even basic issues over several months made me lose all confidence in their abilities. Conclusion: Hiring JJ GAS Services was a costly mistake. Their unsafe and incomplete work, lack of accountability, and unprofessional conduct caused immense stress, financial loss, and significant delays. I strongly advise against using their services if you value your time, money, and safety. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

We have coverd electrical and water underfloor heating. I have been in the building trade since I was 23 so I won't give my age away but it's over 10 years. Have worked on new builds to renervations learning the craft. I am a sole trader and decided to set up on my own.I found my self offering clients materials at cost price cutting out the middle man. This in turn leaves the client with a quilty finish at a lower cost due to the contacts I have built up over the years. Before covering gas appliances to our list of trades we also cover electrical, kitchen, bathroom, tiling renovations. We have a vast experience of years in the trade with new building materials and design always developing to better homes.
Great communication - we had a job booked in after a couple of messages, and on the day, I was kept updated on ETA (our area is bad for traffic). He took the time to talk through what he was doing and point out things that we could do, to help keep our boiler in best health between services and extend it's life(first time that's happened without asking first).
