I can't pass comment on the quality of workmanship as Smartlawns never arrived to do the job. After persistent no shows over a period of 3 - 4 weeks, I cancelled the job and requested the return of the £500 deposit I had paid. This was agreed to, but the money has not been returned to me more than 6 weeks later, despite being repeatedly pursued. I would advise people to avoid this company and very strongly caution against giving them any money in advance of work being undertaken. My turf was laid on February 2020 in Aberdeen. The ground was originally full of weeds and really looked like an ugly messy jungle. It is August 2020 now and the grass looks healthy, thick and greener than any other lawn I ever had in my garden. I would like to thank (with some delay) Craig for the hard work performed in my property and for his kinds explanations. He also gave me the best price between 2 other bidders.
