We are so happy with the room that Townsend Builders have just completed. It is a quality build finished to a very high standard that is exactly what we wanted. Matthew is a very knowledgable and skilled builder who has an eye for detail and will consult with you on decisions that may improve your design. The build has been completed before it was due to start as a delay in another job left an opening that we could take advantage of. Even when the weather was not ideal Kevin the bricklayer continued to build and has done a great job of the walls. All of the subcontractors that Matthew has recommended have carried out their work to the same high standards which is testament to Matthew's overall approach. Absolutely outstanding. The professional understanding of James and his team was second to none. The initial meeting between ourselves and James demonstrated a clear willingness, of both parties, to produce a quality end product. We received, as promised, a detailed, realistic quote within a few days which formed the "backbone" of future work. The skill level and willingness to discuss and advise us on various "modifications", shown particularly by our main builder Roger, was exceptional. Despite floods, winds and, of course, Coronavirus the work continued throughout. The ability to access materials, when others seemed to struggle, was never a problem. The care and commitment to producing a "finished product" of the highest quality was always at the forefront of Roger's thinking. We cannot thank him enough for everything he did. (We, as a couple, have learnt so much about how an extension should be built. We are not sure everybody can say that.) Finally, the original quote, was honoured and clear instructions re staged payment breakdowns were met and acknowledged by all parties. We cannot recommend Ledbury Construction and Groundworks enough. They are a role model to all those who build and a "direction" for all those wishing to have work of this type carried out to follow. Ivor and his team did a fantastic job of rebuilding a garden retaining wall. He kept us informed throughout the work, and gave us advice on the options when unforseen problems arose. Very professional, and good work all round. Would definitely recommend Ivor for work, in fact we have had quotes for two other jobs we may need completing. Highly recommended.

Alex and his team have been brilliant so far. They are still working on my cottage renovation and extension. I have been so pleased with the help and advice I have received so far. Alex is an excellent communicator, he takes the time to explain things very clearly . He shares his ideas freely and the quality of the workmanship is first class. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe Baker. He has repaired three sash windows and a front door for me. His work is to a very high standard and he is very tidy. He is reliable, kept me informed throughout the job and completely trustworthy. I was able to leave him with the key to my house whilst I was away. Great job!

Ian Hamblett was a great choice of builder for our downstairs extension across the back of the house. We wanted to turn a small, dark kitchen and dining room into one larger room and extend out. Ian helped us to plan and budget, taking us through options, before finally coming up with a plan of action. We didn't feel pressurised to go ahead, but when we did, everything ran pretty smoothly. Ian's team were polite, tidy and considerate of neighbours and made sure we were comfortable. We felt included in the process at all times. Ian also installed a kitchen and flooring. We love the modern dark grey aluminium doors and windows and the skylights flood more light into the new room. The new patio is a great addition and outdoor living space. He found bricks to match our 1960's house brick and slate synthetic roof tiles. Before the extension, Ian's company installed new windows at the front of the house so we knew they were trustworthy and reliable. Thanks to all for an amazing job.

Appointing Jon Cluley Building Services to build our porch/ utility room extension was the best move we could have made. A competitive quotation followed by work which paid attention to all aspects of the build. Always on time, always advised if he would be a bit later than normal. So pleased with initial build that we added a new sandstone patio and raised bed which was done with the same attention to detail and at a price very acceptable to us. Would highly recommend.. I will be as honest as I can be with this review because for the most part, we are really happy with our extension but niggling bits not sorted and outstanding with building control which is delaying sign off is disappointing. Communication great initially but waned severely towards end of job (when a new one had been started) and quality of work on final bits disappointing (botched drain pipe installation and guttering), final evidence not submitted to building control for final sign off (work was finished late last year). Still waiting for replies on that stuff. But overall the extension work is great and we’re really happy. Subbies mostly top notch too (wouldn’t use his electrician again but Mike from Anderson’s and Rhys the chippy were both sound) Shame really as I’d like to give Nathan 5 stars but lack of comms and after care towards end of build has left us feeling a bit let down. Happy to be proved wrong and update if sorted, however.
