Rowan was one of the first to respond when I posted my job so we arranged a visit . He is a very pleasant , likeable person . He talked us through the process and explained what would happen at every stage of the project . Although Rowan doesn't live close to us , he made himself available for support and guidance from the start and I knew I could call him with any questions or concerns I had and I did this a few times . Rowan has been in the industry for many years so not only has extensive experience , but he has extensive knowledge of the trade , materials , products and building regulations . Importantly , Rowan is very honest and transparent about the cost of individual products as well as the actual build and if he isn't able to answer a question , he will not give false information but he will again , be honest and tell you he will do his best to find out and get back to you . Ultimately , I would not hesitate to recommend Rowan if you are looking to engage the services of a very professional , experienced and knowledgeable builder who takes pride in his work and will complete your build to an extremely high standard .

My name is Russ Farman I am 45 years young and started my apprenticeship at the age of 14. So have been laying bricks a long time ! The last 20 years we seem to mainly do extensions to wallplate for either the general builder or the home owner who likes to project manage themselves and call in the certain trades when needed! On an extension we do all footings , brickwork up to dpc , block and beam floors and or concrete oversites! All drainage , steelworks and knockthroughs and of course the brickwork! But we still do just brickwork if required! So basically we do all of the above but can do certain parts for example if you want an steel RSJ installed on your property we can do that to We lay certain patios but tend to keep away from porcelain as this country I feel is to cold for it and the slabs / tiles will lift here and there where your traditional slab will last for years! This idea has come from the Mediterranean countries where it works! I’m here for any advice

Bakers Building services have been exceptional throughout the entire project to complete a single story extension on our Victorian terrace in Colchester. Jamie has been easy to talk to and open to all of our ideas when other builders dismissed them. He has also communicated well and kept us informed of timelines and delays with building works. He was also very thoughtful with our neighbours during the build as we have shared assess through their garden so he was always ensuring that they were happy and the site was kept tidy. Jamie has amazing attention to detail and was quick to address any of our concerns throughout the building process. His team have also helped with things not in their remit, like helping get the range cooker in to the house and assisting with cleaning our parquet flooring blocks to help us lay the floor. We have got an amazing extension thanks to Jamie and his team so they are highly recommended and I know they will be in much demand, judging by the amount of neighbours we have had asking to see his work with a view to extend their own properties. Star Builder and we are looking to having him and his team back to further renovate our property when we tackle the first floor
