Last summer we unfortunately had a house fire which was deemed uninhabitable by the fire brigade. 4 adults, 4 vehicles and 2 dogs needed rehoming, and this was an incredibly stressful time. The insurance provided advice and got teams in to deal with the contents and provided a schedule of works that would need to be completed in order to make our home habitable again. We had heard stories about insurance companies taking a very long time to complete work due to the logistics of getting separate trades to come in and deal with every step individually. We began to look into the option of a settlement with the insurance company and obtained some quotes from builders to deal with the project from start to finish. We just wanted to get back into our own property as soon as possible. We looked into a couple of companies who were over our budget to our settlement figure. We contacted BPM Builders through word of mouth, which is run by two brothers and a nephew. What a team! They were knowledgeable from the start, showing great expertise in the world of building inspectors (due to some internal structural damage) and organized all of that for each stage. They were able to quote for the whole package including ripping out and disposing of smoke damaged ceilings, floorings, well everything really). Quickly getting the property ready to rebuild. They have the knowledge of all trades, from ceilings to floorboards, insulation, new windows, new stairs, all the first fix plumbing and electrics, plastering, tiling, bathroom and kitchen fitting. They were able to provide excellent advice from the structural issues down to where we wanted the light switches/plug sockets. They were so empathetic around our situation of the fire and made the whole experience easier, as well as their friendly manner made them very approachable, even when I changed my mind over things! I would highly recommend and have passed their details to friends and family.

Antica tiles came to knock down a stud wall and replace it with an arch. They were always professional and courteous. They completed the work on time and to budget and ensure that the finish was to a high standard. They also ensure that they cleaned up behind them. I would use Anitca Tiles again.

From the first day to the last during 3 weeks Jack and his team were consummate professionals. They worked around us respectably as a family with young kids and involved us in decisions that some builders might consider minor (location of sockets, radiator, colour of brickwork etc), explaining their progress every step of the way. Unlike some builders they stayed almost every day to see our project through, and at the end our garage conversion we saw it was is everything we dreamed of and more. Thank you we couldn't have expected better.

Seemed a nice chap to begin with, but as soon as you have any issues, that changes. When Martin finished, he says I was on a call so couldn't say bye (fair enough) but could have left a note or sent a message, because when I discovered he had left and I looked at the work, I genuinely thought he had gone to the shops or something as it clearly wasn't finished. We had a door from the garage into the house put in with a step, which was left loose. When I questioned this he said that it was an option and he thought it was a nice idea. This doesn't make sense as this was part of the job I asked to be done, which he charged for and included on his invoice. There were other issues which made it look like a rushed job. He fitted the wrong lock, blamed the retailer but must have noticed and tried to get away with it as it clearly said "3 lever" on it when he quoted for 5 lever. There was something else I wanted doing which he basically said "not my job" so I agreed to pay extra for. He never came back to me with dates on when he could do it and ignored my texts when I chased. When he finally agreed to come and do it after I called, he texts at 9.10 when he said he'd come at 9 saying "running late" (yes I can see that) can I come at 10 or on Monday, so I said yes 10 is fine, then he says sorry Monday is better for me, I have jobs to do around the house! I questioned why I he said he would come then and he blamed a flat tyre. Unfortunately there is a word count so can't cover it all!
