Dale carried out a part garage conversion for us. From start to finish he, and his team, were courteous, helpful and kept us informed of what work they were doing that day. He was always on time, and cleaned up after each days work. The best recommendation I can give is that we have already asked Dale to quote for two more pieces of work we are looking at having done.

I would highly recommend Prestige Home Improvements, they were quick to quote and were able to start work ASAP. We are so pleased with the build (an extension to an existing garage). Kevin and Mark worked really hard and in all weather to get the build done quickly and efficiently. Really impressed at their skills and will definitely ask them to do any other projects we do on the house in the future.

Avoid! I wouldn’t recommend W.G builders. I advertised for a wall removal job. When he arrived, I asked him if it would be safe to remove what looked like could be a Load bearing wall (Very reasonable question for most people but not for him) He said he’s not here to give advice and stormed off. Rather than sending a quote as expected later in the evening he sent a message saying he’s not there to give advice and a screenshot showing he was charged £17.50 for the lead & I had waisted his time. An incredibly bizarre experience. He might have been having a bad day but it’s no way to do business.

Be very careful before giving Graham any money upfront. We paid him £5,000 as a deposit for building work on our property. He started stripping out but then stopped after finding asbestos. We brought in a licensed company who tested and removed the asbestos, and we provided Graham with the official clearance certificate. Despite this, Graham claimed he was unhappy with the removal and refused to continue the work. He promised to refund our money, but more than a month later, we have received nothing but excuses. He claimed to have bought materials, but given the stage of work, we doubt this. This experience has left us out of pocket, wasted our time, and forced us to begin a small claims process to recover our deposit. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise against paying Graham any deposits upfront

He was punctual, professional, kept everything clean & tidy along the way & the finished result is lovely. Liam has just fitted our kitchen. We have no words to describe the exceptional professionalism with which he carried out the work from start to finish. He also went out of his way to arrange a skip for us with no strings attached. Once we had appointed Liam for the job he was very accommodating to work around the dates suitable for us (as we had carpet fitters starting on the same day) including offering services within his planned holiday dates. On the first day he started work he quickly spotted errors in the drawings provided by the kitchen company. Within minutes he provided new measurements and recommended design changes to the kitchen company designer and ordered the extra units (on the phone) on the same day to fit and get on with the job. Due to the onsite last-minute changes as a result of the errors in the drawings he had to work out the positioning of the hob and the hood without drawings. On the job there was hardly any disturbance and at times we did not even know there were three people working in the house. He was always there to answer any questions we had and explaining anything we needed to understand. We are now looking forward to welcoming Liam again to fit 13 doors in the house followed by installing second kitchen in our studio flat. We have no hesitation in recommending Liam and Cambridge Carpentry and Construction to anyone out there who is planning to get any building / carpentry / joinery work done. Thank very much Liam from the bottom of our hearts.
