The below feed back explains everything and will assist you in any decisions you need to make regarding AJ Properties. On the 9th July 2017 I registered with mybuilder.com on line requesting a bathroom refit. Mr Caldwell replied and I arranged for him to carry out the job, his workman ship is shocking- It was not completed with reasonable care or skill and the materials he used were not of satisfactory or fit for purpose. The list of poor work is endless, On completion ( when he said it was) Over the next three weeks the boiler kept losing pressure until it flooded into the kitchen from the plumbing to the new radiator which hadn’t been fitted incorrectly. Mr Caldwell refused to repair and was asked for a detailed breakdown invoice in order for us to evaluate and resolve this unfortunate situation. He never replied. Some eleven weeks on I am still waiting for Mr Caldwell to get in touch. The plumbing to the shower is still leaking and is kept under control with numerous towels. I have had quotes from other plumbers who all say that its all very poor and needs to be taken out and started again. At great cost to myself.

Gavin agreed to do our bathroom refit in July. Initially we felt very positive about him he seemed professional and friendly. He stripped out the existing bathroom and had the room plastered. He started to fit the new bathroom but found that some of the bathroom furniture we had ordered was faulty (This was not Gavin's fault). This meant that there would be a delay in finishing the job while we ordered the necessary parts. Gavin asked to be paid for the work he had done. This seemed reasonable as the delay was not his fault. We arranged a date for him to come back to complete the work. He didn't turn up on the arranged day and didn't contact me to say he wasn't coming, nor did he answer the phone when I tried to phone him that morning. He has now decided that he doesn't want to come back and finish the job but has not given us a reason. We are left with no toilet sink or shower in the downstairs bathroom. All the plumbers we have spoken to are busy for several weeks so the bathroom will stay unusable for some time to come. We are yet to find out if the remaining work will cost us more than what we would have owed Gavin for the remainder of his quote. I feel let down and ripped off.
