From the first message, it was clear he had incredible knowledge and genuinely cared about his work. He built everything alone, from scratch, quoted two weeks but finished in one without compromising on quality. His attention to detail is unreal, and his work ethic unmatched — early starts, late finishes, barely any breaks. He helped when I was let down by others, gave honest advice, and even added extras not in the quote, just to help. The result is a beautiful, solid, bespoke toy room and hangout space for our kids that beats any pre-fab version by miles. Some trades people are simply just good honest professional trades people, John is without doubt one of those. Great job fitting a upvc porch door and frame and worked quickly with no dramas or delays then cleaned up totally at the end. Not only am I happy to recommend John I have in fact asked him to quote me for 2 large double glazed windows, so yes, try him, you won’t be disappointed.

Matt is very unreliable. He never stuck to the times he would agree to come and would randomly appear at very unsociable hours. Sometimes as late as 9pm and work till 11pm. This caused me problems with my neighbours because of the noise. I gave Matt all my old doors which were being replaced. These were plain fire doors that had nothing wrong with them but did not look pretty, hence the reason I was having them changed. They were worth around £1000. Matt suggested he could sell them for me and that he would keep them in his storage unit. He also took 4 very long industrial wooden office desks which I was getting rid of for free. Aswell as three industrial wooden book shelves. He took the doors, tables and bookshelves over the course of days he did some work and then disappeared. Leaving half the work unfinished. Which by the way he had taken advance payment for. I was very gullible to trust Matt. I have tried calling and messaging to no avail. Please do not trust this liar.
