Get in touchAfter being let down by another local builder who started the work, found himself short on skills so he walked off into the sunset with our deposit; we hired Design Studio 71's Amjad to continue the project renovate our home in late June 2024. Amjad and his team were very professional, polite and hardworking, they were also able to start work on the project very soon after I paid the deposit. We received a detailed quote for the work with a full breakdown of costs along with clear timescales. The quote was more than fair so we engaged his services and we are so relieved that he turned the bombsite we were living in into what now looks like a show home. I’d like to single out Taj who is a particularly punctual, experienced and courteous member of his build team for a big thanks as well. Of the 3 quotations we obtained (all very close in price) we selected them based on the fact they seemed the most thorough when understanding our requirements. During the 3 weeks work they kept us informed of progress, asked the questions they needed to in time to make the alterations.changes. They also made suggestions of changes to enhance our plans. The ordering of materials was easy and they left receipts and change for any cash buys they made during the day. The project was knocking 2 rooms into one, stripping back to a shell, blocking the original patio doors & installing new windows and doors. Complete kitchen fit-out with electrics, ceilings, decoration and floors. Also removal of the old kitchen at the front, stripping back to shell and leaving a blank space all white ready for decoration when we decide what to do with it. They also did other small jobs we noticed whilst they were here. A great experience.
