Lewis was the contractor on my Kitchen extension. It was a tricky project due to access in our terraced property, and me and my family having to live in the same space as the works were being carried out. Throughout the project, Lewis was excellent - genuinely skilled across a number of areas, and with great sub-contractors for all specialist areas (apart from a couple of labourers in the early stages :). He had an attention to detail and high personal standards of work that I have not come across in builders before - he was also extremely on it in terms of costs, and very clear about the stages of the project / payment schedules / extras etc. His project schedule was also the most detailed and articulate that I've seen from a builder - with a clear, logical and organised process (but he was also able to adapt this to accommodate my wishes / family needs when necessary.) The project itself took the best part of 18 months due to an unforeseen planing issue emerging right in the middle the works, but Lewis was able to drop in and out amongst other projects (and getting married as well). Absolutely would recommend him for such projects - and he will be my first call for future work. One minor niggle might be that he spreads himself a bit thinly across multiple projects - but I think this is due to his high standards of work and wanting to do the best job in the most part, which is not a bad excuse. He's very busy, but worth the wait to get him in.

Lewis removed a load bearing wall in our kitchen, from quoting to completing the job we have been very pleased with the work done. Lewis is very professional and completed all work to a high standard. I highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again.

From the initial quote to my lovely finished bathroom, I have been impressed by Lewis’ honestly, professionalism and attention to detail. I am so glad a chose Lewis as I think my bathroom went from glum to glam just as I wanted.

Lewis was very professional, helpful and friendly. From the very start, Lewis was easy to contact and always replied promptly. We required someone to refurbish the downstairs of our house after a flood and Urbanworks arranged all of the works without any hassle. We are extremely happy with the end result and would highly recommend Lewis. No request was too big or small and everything was completed to a high standard. I would definitely use Lewis again for any future work.

This job as well as including the points outlined in the title included removal of a central chimney over all floors, loft conversion with dormer extension and new utility room. Overall we are very pleased with the standard of work and would recommend Lewis for similar jobs. They were very accommodating and we lived in the property throughout the works. They were clean and tidy and the whole job was accurately detailed on a 42 page scope of works, which made it easy to track progress.

Great experience. Lewis re-arranged things to come out next day to deal with an urgent issue with our roof. He got the job done efficiently and explained everything fully.

The job that I originally advertised for became larger than expected and as well as including the removal of the kitchen wall also involved the fitting of a new kitchen and the laying of a new floor, with related pieces of work including laying gas pipes under the floor to the new kitchen hob, bricking up the old back door and pebble-dashing the outside, and the boxing in of pipes running down along a wall from the boiler in the room above. Lewis undertook all the above work for us and we are very happy with the job he did. The bulk of the work took approximately 2 weeks as Lewis and his 2 guys removed the kitchen wall first and fitted the steel RSJ then did the plastering. Then Lewis fitted our new kitchen and flooring and left it ready for the stone worktop company to come and template and fit. Once the worktops were fitted Lewis then came back a couple of weeks later to finish off the small jobs that were left and our kitchen is now completed (save the painting which we're doing ourselves) and we're very happy with the standard of work. Lewis has always been very open and honest with us regarding the work that needed doing and the finances, and his prices are very reasonable. I'd happily recommend Lewis, and we've already asked him to do some more work for us in the new year when he's available again.

From the very first contact with Lewis I felt confident that we were in safe hands.The build was not without its challenges as is to be expected with a period property and Lewis dealt confidently with any issues that arose nothing was too much trouble.He kept us fully informed and was always available with a strong work ethic that is reflected in his team.The build was completed on schedule and to a very high standard with quality materials used all the time. Lewis has a great team around him and special mention to Amar and Rupinder who worked hard every day and were a pleasure to have around the house always polite and respectful. We are so happy with the end result and wish Lewis and his team every success..Not many people can say they have enjoyed having the builders in..!! .....well we can...

Really pleased with the work carried out by Lewis and his team which involved installing a new steel lintel to accommodate bifold doors and removing/replacing an old balcony. Lewis was a great communicator and dealt with building control and door installers on our behalf which made the process much more manageable. All work was carried out on time and as agreed, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
