David has been so amazing with the work he's done. He's genuinely Helpful and gives great building advice. We recommend him to family and friends as well as given him extra work such as are garden on top of the job we booked him on. We hope to use him again in the future for are building work needs 10/10 for everything X

We needed several leaks in our roof fixed. David gave us a good quote quickly, and clearly knew what he was talking about. He kept in touch by text and did both jobs as and when the weather permitted, working efficiently, explaining what exactly he was doing and why. We are left with a watertight house again. David did the job efficiently and knowledgeably, and was friendly and professional. Will definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone needing work done.

Dave arrived on time as promised to do a simple plastering job around a limestone fireplace(or so I thought). it turned out to be a bigger job but Dave tackled with no problem. He was polite ,courteous and very professional .He also fixed a fascia board /tiling problem above a previous bay window.. He even came back a few days later to fix a PVC door problem for me which I had mentioned in passing. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to carry out work to anyone who wants a job done well .

This job was carried out by a sub contractor who did a great job and worked hard.

For months I'd been looking for someone to repair render and flashing to fix a leak in my porch roof. After contacting various contractors, I'd all but given up as no one could so the repair desperately needed. I found Rakes and Ladders on here and after reading all great reviews on a wide variety of jobs, I messaged Dave with my job outline. Within an hour, Dave called back and totally understood my roofing problem which after being bounced around so many different tradesmen was a welcome relief! We arranged a time to quote the job. Dave was very professional and clearly explained the issue and exactly what was needed to fix it. His detailed quote was brilliant in helping my understand the job he was going to do. Impressed, quickly booked him in for the repair. Due to bad weather and our porch getting worse, Dave was very easy to contact and made every attempt to get to repair the broken render earlier than originally planned. The job he has done is finished to a very high standard and has completely fixed my leaking roof! Thank you Rakes and Ladders. I will be recommending to friends and family.

I asked Dave to fit some Klober dry verge caps to the front and rear of the house. Dave was quick to respond to the job. He inspected the work required and provided a fair estimate. He was in regular contact to arrange a convenient date to start the work. The work was completed on time to a very high standard. Dave is a knowledgeable and skilled tradesman. He is a great guy to deal with I would recommend him to all.

Rakes and Ladders completed the job for which I had originally asked for quotes (plastering) to a very high standard of finish and because of this I have already had them complete a second piece if work and are they are now quoting for a third job. The lads doing the work were professional and courteous. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rakes and Ladders.

Dave is a true professional from start to finish. He stopped me wasting hundreds of pounds on a wall render that wouldn't have solved my problem. He knew exactly what the issue was and was able to fix it for me sooner than expected at an excellent price. He takes plenty of pictures too to show you everything that he's done. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and will be using him again myself. Finding a trustworthy builder is hard when you are a female but Dave made me feel confident to leave him to it with the key to my house. He is an excellent find :-)
