Hector, Elvis and Fabian did a fantastic job renovating our flat. They laid new tiles in our entryway, solved a number of issues with our flooring, removed an old gas pipe and repainted the walls and woodwork in our hallway. We were really impressed with their professionalism and not only did they do a fantastic job but they were a pleasure to have in our home. Very respectful, friendly and knowledgable. They even finished ahead of schedule. We would highly recommend them and would definitely have them back the next time we do a home renovation project.

Genesis are good at structural works but when it comes to following instructions, adhereing to regs, ensuring sustainability and handling customer feedback they become angry and defensive. They blame customers "lack of construction knowledge" when issues are raised -- indeed that is why i hired them. They took a huge amount of money, didnt finish the job, demanded more money, and then withheld the electrical safety certificate effectively as a bribe to try to secure further money. An incredibly stressful experience with incredibly poor customer service. I will be taking them to court and reporting them as unfit for service on my builder if they do not contact me to finish the job and provide the electrical safety certificate.

We recently had Hector and his team do a significant refurb on our kitchen diner, adding a new entrance and relocating the WC under the stairs. We had an excellent experience. The team working on our house always arrived on time, were considerate and took care with their work. Hector, while not always onsite, was very responsive by phone and made some great suggestions about how to get the most out of our space within the necessary budget. We are very happy with the results with everything finished to a very high standard.

My project was managed by Hector Soto and Ioan Ceausu - A boiler was not installed to building regs. After discovering a leak in the flue which runs through a void with no inspection hatch, a specialist from Worcester Bosch shut the boiler down and provided me with a RIDDOR - Danger Do Not Use certificate. I paid £610 for an inspection hatch and new flue to be installed to make it safe. Despite the installation not originally meeting building regs, I was provided with a certificate from Genesis stating it did so. - Genesis made an 8ft vertical chase in the bathroom wall to hide pipework. This was not agreed to and it’s a load bearing wall. Depth and width of the chase remains unknown. The tiles have consistently been cracking and bulging since then. Genesis have replaced the tiles twice and have "reinforced" the wall but they continue to crack and bulge. - Genesis claim to be members of the Federation of Master Builders on their website. I contacted FMR to initiate Dispute Resolution. The FMR responded stating that Genesis are not members at all. They continue to use the logo on their website despite FMR requesting removal. I contacted Genesis to see what dispute resolution service they do use. No response. - Genesis London Ltd have an unsatisfied court order from 2019 where a client took them to court. This judgment ruled in the claimants favour and remains unpaid. Case ref number is F6QZ2W3C and is public record.

Mostly the job is done to a good standard with a few communication problems on the way, where Hector was too busy to respond to the issues. Wilson did a great job overall managing the work on site and getting things done. Most things that we have identified as problems were fixed and corrected. One negative thing that we have found a year later is that one of the pipes in the hidden toilet was not closed and that caused moisture and a rat managed to get in through it and broke through the wall into the living are.

I bought an Edwardian property which hadn't been updated in 50+ years and needed complete renovation - plumbing, electrics, kitchen, bathroom, walls, ceilings, floors, heating, everything! Genesis were the only company who appreciated the period features and agreed to retain them, all other companies I contacted wanted to strip everything out and replace with new, which is not what I wanted. Hector and his team were brilliant! They were polite, friendly and diligent and the house looks amazing! Any delays were outside of their control (changes to the structural plans) and any additional work I asked for was costed and quoted in advance. They also came back to do the snagging afterwards - something I know not everyone actually does! Genesis were fantastic, I would highly recommend them!

Overpriced, great way to get a template for a quote to compare against competition, with most other companies pricing is cheaper elsewhere

The work was completed to the drawings provided exactly, on budget and to a very high quality. As is always the case, there were a couple of snags but they were dealt with quickly and effectively. I will definitely be using Genesis again and have every reason to recommend them to others. *****5
