As noted, our engineer attended your property and provided a quote, including VAT, for the initial call-out. This fee covers up to one hour on-site to diagnose and, where possible, resolve the issue. Should additional parts or further work be required, any additional costs are clearly explained at that time. The price you paid reflects the diagnostic service and time spent on-site by the engineer. Once the situation was explained, the decision to proceed was entirely yours, as is standard practice with service providers. Please also note that the cost of parts is determined by the merchant, not the engineer or our company. We hope this helps to clarify the situation.
