I found Stephen on mybuilder to fix a leak in my property. However, my experience with him was not satisfactory. After reviewing the video of the issue, Stephen agreed to assess the situation for £40, which I agreed to pay. Following the assessment, he quoted £450 for the labor charges alone. Although I was willing to pay, he insisted on a deposit of £225, and despite my apprehension, I made the payment. However, Stephen then indicated that he might not be able to identify the problem, which concerned me. I informed him that I did not want to proceed with the job if there was a low chance of success, as I did not want to waste £450. Despite this, Stephen only issued me a partial refund of £200, citing that he had already done some running around, despite me sending the funds late at night and requesting a refund the next morning. I am disappointed by Stephen's unprofessional behavior and his lack of transparency. His insinuations that he might not be able to solve the problem and his reluctance to provide a full refund have left me dissatisfied. I believe this kind of behavior gives honest tradesmen a bad name. As someone who has used mybuilder for several jobs, I would not recommend Stephen to anyone.

We had Kyle out to do a job. It was very competitive, but we had a little issue. We contacted him again, and he came out and sorted it, or so we thought. We messaged him again to see if he would come back yet again to rectify it. He said no, "I am not travelling back from Leeds again," so we don't recommend him to family or friends.
