RJP Roofing and Maintenance reviews (240)

Richard got back to me within an hour of posting job on this website. he was keen to have a look at job asap. and with a keen price, and very good feedback of previous clients , I chose to employ him to replace my whole roof, with new. very busy guy, so had to wait a few weeks, but all good. the roof was replaced on one of my houses in bristol. and I Iive in Cornwall, so haven't yet seen the results, or even met Richard. but my tenants renting the house informed me that all was well. richard sent pics of work in progress, as he went threw the job, so I could see that the work was progressing well. would recommend, as long as he doesnt get to busy, as I'll have more work for him in the future! Thanks Richard, maybe I'll meet you some day, regards Duncan

Very nice guys, and price was the cheapest! Left the site tidy and were very helpful with advice etc. Job looks good and we've had lots of comments. Would absolutely recommend Rich and his team.

Richard was easy to deal with and communicated well. He did not question what we wanted (to keep the existing tiles) as another contractor had and the price was very competitive. I think he could have investigated more when coming to quote. He didn't look at the roof from inside the loft and as there was lathe and plaster with existing (likely damp insulation) above, the new insulation had to be thrown in through a couple of holes in the lathe and the new felt put over the top of the existing insulation. I was glad I got Building Control to inspect as this existing insulation was too close to the new felt and therefore he had to put Sellotex in the sloping parts of the ceiling to ensure there was a gap between the two. However, Richard did as instructed without complaint, the work was passed as meeting Building Regs and he did not unreasonably increase the price as a result. He was an extremely fast worker - maybe a bit too fast! a pleasant and amenable chap. Nice to deal with.

Good job. Efficiently done. On time and polite. Many thanks

Had several people to assess the problem and quote for the work. Richard was the only one that seemed to have a clear understanding of what the problem and solution was plus be able to do it for a reasonable price. He was over half the price of one of the quotes I received to do exactly the same job. Richard turned up when he said he would and did a very good job. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Didn’t manage to save the old guttering as quoted, resulting an additional and unexpected bill for replacement that exceeded others’ quotes. This was unfortunate, but I believe it to be legitimate and unavoidable. Overall good job completed within a week of hiring, good standard of workmanship and excellent communications throughout.

Rich was flexible with timings when coming to give the initial quote. Rich clearly identified the problem with our roof and offered a very reasonable price compared with the other quote we had for the same work. Communication was good meaning we knew what was happening when. The job was done over 4 days, once the scaffolding was up. This seemed very efficient as the job was renewing the roofing felt for the whole roof, including replacing the battons and taking off and then replacing all the tiles. Rich also identified cracked cement to the chimney which he repointed with our consent. I would definitely use Rich again and recommend to friends and family.

Work done with minimal fuss, quick and as per the quote. No problems, wouldn't hesitate to recommend! Thanks!

Excellent tradesman. Very reliable, friendly and communicated through the process. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to have roof repairs.

Rich gave a very competitive quote, started the job when he said he would and kept me informed throughout (we picked the wettest, most windiest week of November!). Roof and guttering went up quickly and looks good - not tested against any rain or wind since but have the 10 year guarantee if the unlikely were to happen. Scaffolding and skip removed within 2 days of completion which I did not expect so quickly. Thanks Rich
