We were very impressed by Hector when we first met him. He seemed very assured and capable and gave great advice about a range of work we wanted done. We booked his company to fix our windows, which involved repairing and painting the frames. Hector had a small team who undertook this work, and although they also were very friendly and hard working, their work was very sloppy. We had great problems getting the work completed to an agreed standard. They didn't put down any dust sheets, despite having them. By the time they finished - which was much longer than estimated - we were just glad to have them finish and have the house back. A few months later I am still finding problems with the work. A hinge on one of the windows is completely loose, and I am still struggling to repair it properly. We still have paint on the glass of the windows, and only this week I have found a big gap between two of the windows, which was supposed to have been filled with brushes (or some other material). In all likelihood we will have to have more work done on the windows in 3 to 5 years to have them remain structurally sound and waterproof. All of this cost over £3k, so we are very disappointed. Looking at the other reviews it looks like Genesis are very good at structural work, but I really wouldn't hire them if you want windows replaced or repaired.

Had a part renovation project on a midterrace house which I employed Genesis for. The reason I chose genesis was due to my confidence that they would be competent in all aspects of the job, which included some structural, electrical, plumbing and decorative work. The pricing was fair, as they were not the cheapest quote, but I believe you get what you pay for. Broadly the project involved 1) disposal of existing kitchen 2) removal of chimney breast over 2 floors 3) changing a window into a French door 4) disposal of existing bathroom 5) creating a new 3rd bedroom and new bathroom from the old bathroom 6) replastering one floor 7) creating downstairs w.c 8) installation of the new kitchen and tiling 9) moving boiler and plumbing 10) rewiring of the house 11) replacing timber floor and roof which was in poor condition Overall I was very impressed with the structural work that was done. The builders were very clean and efficient. Whole project took just under 2 months. I'd say my takeaway are that genesis are very good building contractors and would definitely hire them for future structural work. I would probably hire specific decorator companies for future decorative work as this isn't genesis' speciality. In terms of personnel the team onsite are very friendly and very eager to help, turning up with 30 minutes notice if there are any issues raised with the work. Special shout out to Wilson!

I hired Genesis builders to make my downstairs open plan. It involved taking down walls, creating an entrance hall, fitting a new floor, kitchen, lights and redecorating. Their quote was reasonable (and whilst it wasn’t the cheapest quote I wanted to go with a firm with a good reputation and the ability to complete the jobs quickly). I was very pleased with the standard of work and they worked hard to complete the job within 7 weeks. Communication could have been better at times but I would definitely use them again for other work. Really pleased with the final result. Thanks Genesis!

Hector's team did a great job renovating our entire flat. Ovidiu was especially helpful and with a great eye for detail, we were so pleased with how everything turned out. There was some confusion around wiring in a home network, but all sorted in the end. 100 % recommend the team!

Don'! Never completed the job, never returned keys. Jobs were done badly I had to get the whole bathroom redone. No replies.

Hector and his team ran a full renovation project on a terraced Victorian house for me. The project was delivered on time and within forecast costs. Communication was clear from the start and a lot of advice was offered where needed. Highly recommended.

I can not praise the hard work and commitment of the whole team enough. From the moment Hector came to talk about the work, I felt he was able to understand exactly what I wanted. His team of builders always went that extra mile, showed pride in their work and worked diligently to meet deadlines. I would recommend them without any hesitation. Great work boys!

The Genesis Team did an amazing job. They installed a new fully fitted kitchen, including electricals, plumbing, plastering, painting, tiling and even fitting a new pocket door. A few issues arose during the works which were dealt with very professionaly. The real star of the show was Nando. He is truly remarkable and brilliant. Every time there was a problem, like old pipes too big, kitchen cabinets not fitting properly, and many others, he came up with not one but a few ideas to choose from. Not once he said “this is not possible, this can't be done”. He always found a solution. He is a very hard working man and a perfectionist. The final result as you can see in the photos, is a first class job. I will hire the Genesis Team again for future jobs. I would recommend them if you are looking for talented craftsmen and a very high standard work. Thank you Nando!!!

Hector immediately made a good impression when pricing up the job as he was very professional, calm and thorough and the quote he sent us was more than reasonable. We were refurbishing a whole 1 bedroom Victorian flat and were a bit anxious, but they were so flexible and easy to communicate with that it made the process seem easier - even when we had to change things at the last minute or send builders from other companies on site. Everything was finished within the timeframe and price that were agreed upon, with a good quality and the team was hardworking and a pleasure to chat with. We are happy with the results and would definitely use Genesis again for other jobs.

The team at Genesis London were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. When Hector came around to quote the job he suggested we move the toilet in the bathroom for a better layout. I had 2 builders round before that who had told me it was impossible to move the toilet so I was delighted they were able to make it happen. Wilson and the rest of the team were just really nice and friendly guys, punctual every day and ensured that the space was kept as tidy as possible. 1 month since installation and we cannot complain about anything. I would not hesitate to recommend Genesis to anybody who is considering a renovation job.
