I had 4 quotes off mybuilder for this job. Two of the tradesmen suggested replacing the whole flat roof, another suggested a solution but it would have meant moving the existing downpipe. All 3 had a peek through the back of my window to see the flat roof and then quoted. Empire was my fourth quote. After having a peek through the window, Steve wanted to get a ladder and take a proper look on the roof itself (the others did not do this). After a proper inspection, he offered a better solution and didn't believe the whole roof needed to be taken off, I asked him to have a look at my original roof too to see if there were any issues and he quoted me for those jobs too. The whole job ended up being at least £1000 cheaper than had I replaced the whole roof. They were able to organise to do the job in the same week. The workmen were courteous, left no mess at the end of each day and worked diligently. There's also a 20 year guarantee for labour and materials, which gives a lot of confidence too. Definitely recommend!

I could not fault them. From the service over the phone, the surveyor who came to see the issue. To the roofers who did the job. All above and beyond an exemplary service. Would highly recommend if in need of a good reliable job.

Chris was the only builder interested in my job actually to come and look at it. (another basically accused me of time wasting for wanting more than 1 quote for such a small job) I was impressed that he didn't try and make the job bigger than it was and told me that only the down pipe needed replacing. When I accepted his quote he was able to do the work the next day. He was punctual, friendly, did the work and tidied up nicely. I would not hesitate to recommend Chris/Empire roofing or use him/them again myself.
