It’s sad there’s no rating below 1 star, cos Richard Collins that goes by the name LIMO has set a new record for my worst experiences on Mybuilder.com.He visited site to price for the repairs & we agreed on the price for labour and materials. Only for him to start adding exorbitant extra charges on staring the job in a very cunning manner like £50 for 1.5hours travel to source door handle, £60 extra to assemble a couple of kitchen units, etc. I agreed to paying the extra for the kitchen units but couldn’t bear anymore when he opted to charge extra for cutting the carpet to size/fit. Then I had to leave to another site for an appointment which he actually overheard an engineer call me about. To my greatest shock when I got back he was gone with my new kitchen cupboards, carpet, underlay,new universal patio door handle I supplied for the job. Then sent me a text to pay £500 before he can do the job. My items worth £400 still with him as I write 72 hours later. Is he a tradesman or thief?

What a great job every little detail superb and to the highest quality. Ash is friendly polite, neat and tidy and planned the project superbly. He is a perfectionist and we cannot state highly enough on how pleased we are with the quality of the work. He is everything a great tradesman/craftsman should be. An absolute pleasure to have employed him to undertake the paneling and boxing work. Left fully prepared for decoration. There was a bit of plumbing that needed sorting out to fit the panelling and he planned this in and his brother in law came bang on time and also undertook a great clean job. Lovely fellas! First accepted the job and came out to quote around 8 weeks ago. Arranged a date to come and complete work. We had a message late morning from a friend of his explaining that he had sadly suffered a bereavement and that he would be in contact to rearrange. Fast forward to last week and he arranges to come and start work. The day comes and we clear the room, again, make sure someone is off work to be home... he is a no show. We have messaged and called with no response. Could have just said if he didn't want the job anymore and we could have hired someone else. We waited this long because we didn't want him to lose out on work on top of a bereavement. 2 stars because he did seem a nice chap when he came to quote.

I only posted the job a few days ago, Stuart responded within a couple of hours, and the next morning he was over to assess the job and gave me a quote. He quoted considerably less than others, and has already been and completed the job to a high standard. He hung two new doors, cleaned up after himself and was gone in about 3/4 hours. Lovely polite guy, will absolutely be using in the future!

Dec and his team are polite, punctual, friendly and extremely hardworking. .Our garden is an oddly shaped space that has caused headaches in the past, but nothing was ever too much trouble for them.. Dec problem‑solved everything calmly and professionally, kept the site spotless throughout, and worked with real care and attention.
