I paid for a boiler service and a Gas Safe certificate, yet the engineer later admitted he could not remember which boiler he had worked on. This demonstrated a clear lack of organisation and professionalism. A few weeks after the service, the boiler began leaking. He promised to return to inspect the issue but never did. Since then, he has ignored both emails and text messages. This level of unreliability is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to avoid using him at all costs. Losing your phone is not a valid excuse. You promised to returning on 29/12, yet you failed to do so and made no attempt to inform me. Even if your phone had been lost, you could still have accessed your emails via a computer, tablet, borrowed device, or a public library. If you took your professional responsibilities and your customers seriously, you would have found a way to communicate. There are multiple ways to access email, and the failure to do so reflects a clear lack of professionalism!

If Jeremy Hunt responds to your My Builder request count yourself very lucky - you'll be getting the services of a very thorough, very professional engineer/craftsman. On the basis of our experiences, he takes a great deal of trouble to fully understand the work required and his estimate was realistic and reasonable. An interchange between us over several days ensured both parties fully understood the job and a date was agreed quickly. On the day of the activity he ensured our job - fitting a complicated duel-fuel range cooker including upgrading cabling and ensuring the gas supply would support it - was delivered, working late into the evening to ensure it was completed after discovering that we had some unexpected issues. He was friendly, interested, prepared to offer advice and to share his experiences. A thoroughly good experience.
