I cannot express enough how good Ali and Simon have been. This project has been substantial (the greenfield build of a 3000sq ft 5 bed house on a sloping site). Simon and Ali acted as main contractors for the build and their performance was exceptional - the build has come in on time and budget. I work full time and so therefore had to rely totally on the competence and integrity of Simon and Ali, who were responsible for the majority of the project management. After a 9 month build we have built up a great working relationship and I trust them both implicitly. This has been essential and has made building my house a joy - for which I am hugely grateful to both of them. In addition, the quality and standard of workmanship has been second to none. Simon and Ali only sub-contract to tradesmen they have worked with before for a number of years and their work is excellent. Everyone who comes to look at the house has commented on the high quality of the brickwork - a standard you rarely get on new builds from developers these days. Overall - a great job. I would wholly recommend Simon and Ali to anyone considering embarking on a self-build project.

Peter only completed half the job and never returned to complete, did not respond to emails or texts, I am still owed for 4 windows that I paid for up front. I would not use this builder again.

My builder has done a perfectly crafted job, of which I am very pleased. He is thoroughly professional , explaining all that is happening at every stage of the wall construction. Nothing was left unexplained and all was done accordingly. The price was very fair, and no money was requested before the work started, only at the end of each phase of the work. But of course the most important thing is that the work has been done admirably well. I would absolutely recommend Kurt, and should I need a builder again I will call on him. Well done Kurt!

I would not recommend this builder. Started the job well and then kept stopping for weeks at a time. He kept asking for money and then stopping the work. They kept saying they would be working on the house one day and when we would go to check they would not be there. Plaster job was rubbish - not skimmed properly along the top and it has already started cracking on the ceiling and I’ve not even moved in yet. They ruined the brand new kitchen ceiling by imprinting a ring to pull the electrical wires through, then they cut out an extra hole in the ceiling the size of a spot light and didn’t fill it. Broke off the plaster whilst trying to build a door frame. Tiles are not properly fitted in the kitchen. Left the job unfinished, sent me a text to say they won’t complete. Not worth the hassle with them - what should have been a couple of months took 6 months and not completed. They then blamed us for causing delays when they didn’t give full info of what’s needed.

From the outset we found Ryan to be punctual and polite - at the same time maintaining a good professional balance between friendliness and over-familiarity. The level of detail in his bid far exceeded the other two bids, which got him off to a good start - combined with the fact that he was also the lowest bidder, and a local builder to boot, made him the clear favourite for us. We were not disappointed. Throughout the job, Ryan and his team were very tidy workers, unfailingly good-humoured and always keen to please - nothing was too much trouble for them. In the end, the job did take a bit longer than we had anticipated however the quality of work was first class, and we were totally satisfied. We would not hesitate to employ Ryan again.

I engaged Andrew Bullingham to build a new garden wall encompassing my front garden. Andrew and his brother Adam impressed me from the outset with their honest, down to earth and diligent work ethic. They worked methodically and produced work to a high standard to the extent that I asked them to undertake other brickwork/remodelling works in house. The design of these works were translated from the ‘drawing board’ to reality, achieving an excellent standard. I take pleasure in recommending Andrew and Adam Bullingham and will certainly be engaging them on further projects as and when they arise.

He opened up some window apertures, built a porch and carried out some remedial work (where no lintel was installed but should have been) above our side door.
