Well why can I say about Simon and his team..... From The moment we met Simon we knew he was the one to do our extension, he was laid back but knew what he was talking about. We sat down before the works began so that we all knew where we stood regarding cost, time and expectancy. The contact between him and both me and my partner was great, we had constant updates and new ideas thrown our way. Simon decided to change a few things from the original plans and this was definitley for the better and sailed through building control. His team were great, from the brick layers, roofers to the plumbers. His full time team of Doig, Olly and Luke were great - always polite, friendly and on time. They all did a great job and can't fault there workmanship. Nothing was too much trouble and we even asked simon to fit the kitchen aswell, which he did to a high standard. He will even fit u a cat flap if you ask him nicely :-) . Thanks all. Have a great Xmas. I engaged HJ Developments in September 2022 and as we have never had any major building work done before we were nervous about engaging and committing to spending a significant amount of money with people we didn't know. I went through MyBuilder.com and had 3 quotes HJ were not the cheapest but I really liked the way Harry communicated with us and nothing seemed a problem for him, and we asked him to return a couple of times to discuss various aspects and we also went to see a previous extension he had done and spoke with the owners about how they felt the job had gone so we eventually engaged him for the work. The team always arrived on time, were very tidy in their work and came in on budget, and have done an amazing job. Like with all big jobs, there were changes throughout (instigated usually by me) but there was never a problem, only a solution with costs discussed along the way so we knew where we were with the budget and could make a decision to accept the changes or not and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Craig did an excellent job on our bathroom. The house is an old 1930s house and the old bathroom was pretty horrible. Craig (and his team), fitted the new electrics (extractor fan, towel rail), plumbed in the lot and skimmed the walls where required. The tiling is perfect. In fact, the whole finish is great. I was particularly impressed when Craig pointed out the defects in the bathroom suite we had ordered. Unfortunately the delay in getting the items replaced meant that he had to stay on the job longer than first thought, but that wasn't a problem. We had a complete Kitchen/Dining refurb completed by Rich and his team. He has done an absolutely fantastic job. This included removal of an internal wall, installation of RSJ, rip out and fit of new kitchen, decoration, tiling, floor fitting - the complete works! Rich was amazing throughout. He kept us up to date at every stage of the project, ensured all contractors were organised and on track and was a general pleasure to have in the house doing the job. We were nervous about choosing someone to do this job but we 100% made the right decision and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rich to anyone else. We'll definitely be asking him for future jobs!

My business is construction trade 35 years experience in. Brickwork Extensions Blockwork Foundations Drains Kitchens 1st & 2nd fix carpentery Roof tiling
The build was a single store rear kitchen diner extension. This included the footings, brick work (matching with the existing), vaulted ceiling and lying ceramic flooring. Mark would arrive on time every morning & run through the day's activities so that we always felt in control of the build. At the end of the day he wouldn't leave site until it was as tidy as possible, which is essential with our young children running around. Some of the build required a high degree of precision such as the insertion of a 7m piece of steel which Mark managed without issue. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark, he takes his time, listens to what you want and delivers with a real sense of pride.
