Now the blooming lug has fallen off! How can I repair this without having to change the back box. I think they were fitted in around 2007.

I asked an electrician to do an EIRC certificate for my property, he said I need ".....18th Edition consumer unit including SPD and RCBO’s for final circuits" He explained that my meters are too far apart and new regulation mean they should be closer. Both meters are wall mounted, electric meter is at bottom of stairs entrance to flat and gas meter at the top of the stairs, 13 tread stairs. Can someone explain please. I don't have the money to spend, he has quoted £1000+vat

I have just replaced a bathroom fan (Manrose 4" timer model) as a like for like replacement. The fan comes on correctly but does not go off. The timer is at minimum time. Is there something simple I have not done/done wrong, or is the new fan likely to be faulty? The wiring matches the old fan, grey neutral, black switched live, brown permanent live
