Honestly would never recommend this company to anyone. Everything started well for the first day was onsite all was good. Day 2 didn’t turn up to the job and no reply until dinner time when I get a call “sorry I slept in” they did end up coming to do some of the job only because their tools was left at my house. They had to come back due to not enough tiles which is not their fault I understand that. Told me they will there possibly on Thursday- no show then told me I’ll be there at “ some point” on the Friday never turned up. I spoke to him on the weekend and asked when are you coming to finish off the job he said 100% Monday - happy days going to get it sorted. Monday comes message on this app sorry I won’t be there this morning had my phone and cards all stolen will be there this afternoon. Yet again still no show! I have been without a bathroom for 16 days with a 6 month pregnant partner and have to get someone else to finish the job! And paid £700 for all this stress

I recently worked with Lucas and Mersey Grounds on a commercial paving project at Princes Dock Apartments and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They sourced extremely difficult like-for-like paving to match the existing finish and also replaced damaged tactile paving to a high standard. From a commercial and quantity surveying perspective, they were excellent to deal with. Fair pricing, great communication and no hassle throughout. They simply got on with the job and delivered exactly what was agreed. Their health and safety was outstanding, with their own signage, barriers and work area segregation to keep pedestrians safe at all times. I contacted Lucas on the Thursday and they sourced the materials and started on Monday, completing the works in less than a week. We paid the company a despsit beforehand and they were also very accommodating with our company payment terms for the remaining. A trustworthy contractor that I will definitely be using again on future projects.
