I have no hesitation in recommending James and his team. They have just completed an internal renovation for me and it has been completed to the highest of standards. James visited me to view the job quickly after I contacted him. He supplied a realistic quote which was acceptable. His men turned up exactly on the agreed day and time and they took exactly the time quoted to complete the job. They cleaned up after themselves each night and at the end of the job did an extensive cleaning around the affected area. They were polite and friendly and kept me informed of all activities during the project.

We were happy before it rained and we thoroughly checked their work. They left mess, razor sharp edges on the glass, and glass overhanging neighbours land a little bit. We asked them to return to remedy this which they said they would do this coming Tuesday. Since then we have also noticed that they have cut our glass too short, cut the new hardwood at too steep an angle which was bodged in with wood filler, and now it's rained this new roof has massively leaked. In places where the glass is cut too short and even along the length of one of the new wooden beams; must be missing a bit of silicone. It is now Saturday and we have called them 2 days ago on Thursday, yesterday Friday we called and texted, and today again we both texted and one of us called them, to check if they are still coming on Tuesday or not. 3 days is not unreasonable to return a call or text just to confirm either way. More rain is due between now and then, concerned about lack of communication and quality of work.

I was so pleased with the first job Lee completed, I got him in for some more work. I am extremely happy with the 2 jobs completed. Lee is very polite and conscientious. He comes up with good suggestions/solutions to my ideas, and has come in early and worked some weekends to get the job completed. I thoroughly recommend him. Work carried out Removal of stud wall, building new stud-wall + cupboard Supply & fit internal doors Partial dismantlement of old conservatory, making it water tight for the 4 week lead time (no leaks despite the winter storms). Increase height of conservatory dwarf wall, removal of front dwarf walls + external window sill + addition of insulation cladding to internal walls, in preparation for replacement conservatory.

The fitting of a personal door into the garage for easy access from the house. Excellent workmanship. What a joy to have people working on your property that really know what they are doing. They tidied up afterwards also to a high standard. The personal door into the garage looks as if it was there from the start of the build. Our project was to build a kitchen extension at the gable end of our property and an Oak timber frame veranda on the side elevation. Our Building Inspector said that it it was the best carpentry work that he had seen in a very long time. Internally we wanted Jason to install the new kitchen and to lay a porcelain floor in the hallway and also in the old and new kitchen area, (which was to have underfloor heating), and to tile out the ground floor cloakroom. Jason has also done the foundations for the patio area, and is currently laying the paving. He has organised all the other trades on the job as and when required, and he only uses people he has worked with before, and who have the same pride in their work as Jason has. We cannot fault the workmanship. He served a carpentry apprenticeship at a renowned local builder. He personally works to a very high standard as a Master Carpenter, and specialises in "Cut roof" and timber frame projects. His preparation and attention to detail is evident in the finished project, with which we are extremely pleased. Throughout the project he gets on site and gets on with the job. There is no hanging around. He has always kept us informed if for any reason he suddenly cannot make it the next day, or if he cannot get to us at his normal time. He is very reliable and has a small team who work with him when needed.

We hired Trevor to remodel the inside of our house, putting in new walls, installing internal and external bifold doors, laying floor tiles, redoing electrical circuits amongst other works. The standard of work was generally of a high quality and standard. In addition to the good workmanship, it was a pleasure to have both Trevor and Cyril (Sid) around and we found them good natured and honest. We are intending to have them back to do further work as soon as the current pandemic has eased. We would thoroughly recommend TJ Services.
