Latest review:Conversions - General-By far the best builders I have come across. I needed a wall knocking down and a whole room plastered including a new window to be installed. They complete this within a week and there was little to no mess. They maintained the highest standards. i’d highly recommend. will definitely be using them again in the future.

Scott was a really pleasant person to deal with. Excellent communication skills and whilst a few other tradespeople had us down with quotes Scott made a date and time to view the job and stuck to his word. The work was carried out to a high standard and the site was kept clean and tidy. He also made a few recommendations on other things that might need doing and we will be sure to use him again. Latest review:Conversions - General-Anthony completed our kitchen rebuild/fitting to an amazingly high standard. The project included bricking up our back door, knocking out a supporting wall, retiling, electrics and a kitchen install. Anthony oversaw the entire project, co-ordinating the different trades within the team, whilst also undertaking the bulk of the work. Anthony had a very high attention to detail, solved problems that arose and worked tirelessly to get the project to completion within the required timeframe. He attended on weekends when needed for the project to stay on time and was always contactable if there were any issues. Anthony provided us with a quote for all of the work, we discussed any additional work that was required and knew the costings as we went along so no unexpected surprises at the end. I would recommend Anthony highly and would contact him for any other work that we needed doing in the future.

Latest review:Conversions - General-I would very highly recommend Wooden Artefact. Certainly best experience of building work I've ever had by some considerable margin. They completely removed a first-floor bathroom which was falling apart, rearranged walls/ceilings/doors and installed new bathroom + cloakroom, in a little over 2 weeks. I could not be more impressed by the results and the whole process was managed with a very high standard of professionalism throughout and outstanding attention to detail. All tradespeople on site throughout the project were similarly excellent. I had fairly specific requirements around design, materials etc and Radek worked with these without any fuss whatsoever whilst his advice and input made the result better than I had anticipated. As is always the case with building work, there were some unexpected events but these were all dealt with without any changes to either cost or timescale so I paid exactly what I expected to pay and the work was completed exactly when I was expecting it to be completed, and as I say the end result is better than I was originally hoping for. I would recommend Wooden Artefact very highly to anyone, they would definitely be the first people I'd go to in future about any building work.

Latest review:Conversions - General-Phillip gave me an accurate and fair quote at the start and having agreed the job he provided a detailed schedule of work and payments. He organised Building Control too, and sorted all the admin side for me. He's NVQ level 6 in building so he has detailed knowledge of all rules and regs. The work itself was carried out professionally and organised as we agreed, without unnecessary hold-ups and my job, a rear extension, was wrapped up in about 4 months over the autumn/winter. I'm pleased with the high standard of the work and the boys on the job were easy to get on with. Phillip can be trusted to do the work properly as he is concerned with continuity of jobs in the area and wishes to retain his good reputation. If you take him on for the job, no worries!

Latest review:Plastering-Dale & Rich of 2D Construction came to give us a quote to render our back wall. I was impressed with their professionalism and offered them an opportunity to quote for a single storey extension. The price was agreed and a time slot was given. They started the job when they said they would. The job involved removing the back wall of our house and extend 3 metres. The job involved a lot of steel, 2 large Velux windows in the new roof, large aluminium sliding doors and windows. We have an end of terraced house and they took the time to source reclaimed bricks to match the original and tie it in as though it was always there. The job progressed well and exceeded expectations. We decided while they were here to renovate the existing dining room, kitchen and garden, remove a chimney and silicone render what was left of the back wall. We also decided to have new lighting, traditional radiators and a parquet floor. All work came in on budget. The finish is first class. Our friends and family followed the job via their Facebook and Twitter pages (see for yourself). The extension is now finished and while we are glad to have our new house back we will miss the smiling faces or Dale, Rich and their team! Thanks very much. No hesitation to recommend.
